I was arrested - 6G Celicas Forums

This is why I run, all the time. I never stop for police. I usually don't have to run unless on the interstate or a back road, both of which are easy to out run the Crown Vics. It would realy suck for me to get caught. I wouldn't allow them to figure print me. They would have to knock me out to get me to agree to that. I can take a lot of pain. I don't want in the system, and I would loose and arm to keep it that way.

eh?
sorry to hear that you got ripped by the cops too, sounds like you'll get off since you were avoiding a collision, such crap that cops always asume the worst and never accept that they may be wrong.

I got arrested a few weeks ago for doing a small burn out in a jack in the box parking lot in my g/f 96 cherokee ment to just spin eh a bit but ended up sliding the back around a little. was no big deal as soon as it did I hit the breaks and stopped, then when i pulled to the main road, 5 cars hit there lights and pulled me over, 2 stopped behind me the others turned off there lights and drove down the road after i stopped.

anyway I got the whole bs pulled me out searched me did not search the car but yelled at my g/f and acked like total a$$es. asked how much i had to drink ( imediatly said i dont drink and have never had any) they threw me in the back, then called me a lier when i told then the truth, said the same story 4 times they finaly belived it the 4th time, after they saw my clear record and I told em my place of work. anyway they said they were taking me straght to jail, also said they were trying to find a cell for me. i was like whatever guys. kinda smileling a bit it was funny to me. they ended up letting me go with a ticket for a court date. my lawer pushed back the court date and is dropping it from a reckless driving to neg so its not on my record as a cirminal affece.

anyway I lost all respect for the cops in boney lake (were it happend)
this thread isn't even worth my time to explain why cops do what they do.

blackcelicagt - you OBVIOUSLY drive like a moron. i suggest working on that. i gain this assumption from your multiple threads about your reckless driving and assumed multiple tickets.

oh and the reason you were arrested was to post bond because of the significant amount of the citation.

i'm sure more than likely the lawyer will get you off, but you'll pay your right arm to have the individual do so.

LOL!!!

ok!

ive had no tickets for about 2 years now. Ive been commented on multiple times by people on how good of a driver I actually am. Aggressive yes but I do have the skills to get myself out of situations.

Im not complaining about the ticket. Im complaining about arresting me. lol. Dont tell me that if I cooperate you will let me go with my court date and citation and then just decide to change your mind after I put up no fight and called you "sir".

I didnt have to post bond to get out so you should probably get your facts straight. Insignifcant amount of the citation? A reckless is considered to be as harsh as a DUI. 2500 bucks isnt an arm and a leg. Paying hte insurance for like 7 years for a reckless is an arm and a leg for improperly using a lane. Also the fact its a felony in Canada which means I wouldnt be able to go to Canada would be piss me off.

cops have the one of the hardest job in the world. Everyone hates them when they are on their ass, but when the cops come to save the same ass, they are hero's. (sigh) Some things will never change.
I say +1 for honest cops

Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........
I respect cops and what they do and im fine with him pulling me over. I just wish he didnt arrest me lol. It was pretty embarassing having some lil 5 year old in the car next to the police squad looking and smiling and im sitting there in cuffs and nice work clothes on

re-read what i said. note the part about it saying "SIGNIFICANT" no IN in front of it. what about your bus escapade? also, do you have formal training in driving? are you really in a hurry to get everywhere? aggressive driving is just as bad as drunk driving, hence, the reason you got a SIGNIFICANT penalty. i'm sure your driving history isn't peachy, and prior offenses play a factor into which citation you are getting. laws change from state to state, and in my state a misdemeanor offense gets you in jail, generally to get out of jail you have to post some type of bond, signature or cash. my guess is that you had to do the signature saying you'll appear in court that day. that is known as a SIGNATURE BOND. so yes, you did post bond. if there are mitigating circumstances for needing to post bond, i.e out of state drivers with a large fine, history of bail jumping, no ID, agency policy, etc, they'll either post that bond or remain in jail. you are arguing with the wrong person because unlike you, i know what i am talking about.

mmm donuts. they are known as a lifesavers for the po-lice. nothing like enjoying filling stereotypes. always wanted to walk up to a car eating a donut...
^ wow calm down! i take it u are an officer. i have said nothing against officers. I jsut think he took it a lil over board with saying if i cooperated he'd let me go and he didnt!

my parents are more upset with the cop than me. The cop knows what he was doing that he was going overboard. The lawyers have said it and another officer at the precinct thought it was a lil unjust to take me down there! And then telling the lady to take her time with fingerprinting me when they had all holding cells full and the bathroom was even being used to hold someone.

Screw cops, I hate cops. They almost killed my uncle. He was drunk and they just about beat him to death. They pull over good people and harass them, and let drunk drivers go with just little warnings. They profile people in sport compact cars as bad people. I hate cops. I do nothing wrong, nor have I ever been arrested. I've gotten 3 tickets for speeding, and none in the past 3 years. But I still hate cops and everything they stand for. I'll take care of my own problems, they can stay away from me.

let me know how that goes when a guy is standing over you with a baseball bat.

profiling people in sport compacts isn't profiling, considering 80% of all mods done are illegal.

you don't do anything wrong while you are speeding? hmmm. see those signs posted everywhere called "SPEED LIMITS"

without laws comes anarchy

oh ok, and i suppose you want him to report to the domestic abuse thing and properly park his car, unbuckle his seatbelt, and obey all traffic laws on the way there???

its probably out of habit that he did that. nothing more painful when you are trying to run to a scene and you get out of the car at 90 mph with the seatbelt on. thank god for body armor, saves cops in more ways than one.

I'm not kidding, and if you think I'm ignorant, it just proves how much you are. When they beat my uncle, it was about 40 years ago. It's simple psychology, proven by Philip Zimbardo. When people are put in power positions, they will act on it. Cops deal with a lot of bad people, but they then treat everyone like a bad person. I don't like getting harassed by them when I don't do anything wrong. When I'm speeding, that is understandable. People in general will act power crazy if it's given to them. It doesn't mean that every signal cop is bad, but most of them are. And I really don't like them. Anyone who wants to challenge my knowledge, feel free to do so.

have you seen the tapes of them beating your drunken uncle? was it unwarranted? were those officers cited for their actions, or fired? is there any recall of the event other than your uncle's story?

and honestly, you must not get any good cops, or because of your bad attitude toward them, bring the negative treatment on yourself. you do realize people, especially in positions like that, can sense other people projecting preconcieved perceptions on them? if you are generally positive, officers should react that way. i realize not all the time, but generally. however, if you encounter them with a bad attitude, you don't get a cheery happy officer, finding every way to make your life easier.

but seriously, answer those first few questions, as that's a very important part of this story.

I will challenge your education. Why? Because

1.) Zimbardo was a 5 or 6 day experiment. Nothing real conclusive can come from actors. Try being placed in this situation for years upon years.
2.) Have you EVER been in a position of authority? That is like saying every supervisor is bad.
3.) Have you EVER been specifically a police officer?
4.) Do you witness police interacting negatively towards everyone, or is this what is known as a "stereotype"?
5.) Not ever "singal" cop is bad, actually, very few of them are.
6.) Chances are, if you are dealing with the police YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG.
7.) Psychology is a worthless major unless you play on going Masters or above, which I highly doubt you are. I have a psychology minor, but that would be because it directly relates to the field I'm in.

Yay! Anarchy!

YAY! I can rob/stab/do whatever to you and get away with it! YAY!

You people seriously disgust me. Grow up about 5 more years. Once you are all post age 21 cops will suddenly be your best friends. Unless of course, you are a piece of trash who beats your wife.
several of my friends are entering law enforcment.. either CHP or LAPD

i have had several experiences with police and one certainty i have is that campus police actually do fit the "stereotype" of the cop that abuses their power. at my local CC i was running to class because i was running late and was stopped by two campus police officers( and they are real police officers). they assumed i had stolen something because i was running. they cuffed me and took me to the station. while searching my bag they found my new textbooks, purchased the day before, still wrapped and asked if i had stole them from the bookstore, since i had no reciept they locked me in the cell until they got ahold of the bookstore to verify nothing was stolen. 40 min. later they let me go and made me 1hr late to class without an apology.

i have also had my car searched twice for no reason while leaving the campus. one time for supposedly "racing". the car i was allegedly racing was a chevy suburban and there were a line of 7-8 cars in front of me slowing down for a red light. also halloween last year while driving past the college at 4pm i was pulled over for "possible DUI" which i passed the breathalyzer but still managed to get my car searched and detained in the back of the car and put in handcuffs. i think their reasons were bs but if i make a complaint i will still prob. see them around campus and i don't want anymore drama

i have nothing but respect for the police and actually considered becoming one esp. after seeing Super Troopers biggrin.gif

**** you man, you have no idea. I'll get back to the rest after class. Don't you dare make judgements like that on me. I happen to be one of the top students at WVU, a school with 28k students. My grade point average is 3.8. And I've been told that with my grades, test scores and experiance, that I can go to just about any graduate school I want. You don't know ****, so keep your mouth shut.
