I was a Junior in HS, her a Sophmore. We had a mutual friend. She came up to me one day and said "Can I have your shirt???" her eyes were wide open. I said "only if I can have your pants." We hung out that night, and the next day we were going out. We knew each other for all of 3 days before going out. That was over 3 years ago. <3

I met my boyfriend back in high school... his senior year my junior year. We had chemistry class together, and he would just randomly talk to me every now and then... hahaha I thought he was nice at the time, but I never really thought much about him, considering at the time I had a boyfriend...

But then... like a year later, me and that boyfriend broke up, and then out of no where he messaged me asking me how I was doing and blah on myspace. Hehe he said he was messaging everyone but I found out later he was actually intrested in me lol. Then after that we started talking through messenger, and we just clicked so well. So well that we both really wanted to hang out, so we hung out and had a blast, then we hung out again and he asked me if I wanted to go out with him... and duh I said yes lol

Now we've been together nearly 10 months strong. He's right now is in the U.S. ARMY doing basic training. I havent seen him in a month, but that doesnt affect our feelings for each other one bit. hehe kinda funny cuz I thought him being in the ARMY would affect us in some way, but it only made us love each other more, cuz we havent seen each other.

I see him for the 1st time in 2 months as a soldier at his Graduation in Missouri at Ft. Leonard Wood around December...

Initially my g/f and I met at a party I had back in 2004 I think? I dont remember but this is what she tells me. I guess I talked to her alot that night but dont remember any of it. I also ate a wheel of Gouda cheese on a dare so its not surprising that I dont remember. But over this summer I began going out with my brother alot and she and there was definite sparks between us even though she was seeing some dude so I basically stole her from this guy and it'll be 3 months in 2 days.

I know how you feel. My boyfriend and I live 1.5 hours away from eachother and we have different days off so we try see eachother every other day atleast even if its just for 3 hours. I think he goes more crazy over not seeing me than I do about him. lol its nice to finally have a guy who puts the same amount I put into a relationship.

well, if you get to see him at least a couple times a week that's cool, but the couple of relationships I've had where I had to go months without seeing them...uh uh, never again. Both of them got too distracted without me around, lol...

Its actually not that hard... If ya love the person enough, you can handle it... I havent seen my boyfriend officially in a month as of today, and I wont see him in another month in a half at least... and I'm doing just fine... Dont get me wrong I miss him like crazy, and I do get lonely at times, but just because there's distance between us doesnt affect the way how we feel towards each other...

I'm thinking the reason why I'm taking a long distance relationship so easily is that we both have huge confidence that it'll seriously work out. Its been hard on both of us to be apart for so long, but I feel its only made us stronger. A lot of the time, I dont even get lonely cuz I feel that even though he's not around a part of him is still with me

But I prolly have the hardest type of long distance relationship to be in... No contact whatsoever. I cant call him whenever I want, I only get one or two letters a week to hold onto, and a short 10 minute phone call on Sunday, which btw are AMAZING!!!!!!

but then again mabye its so easy for me because I find a man in uniform sexy as hell jk

The word love is thrown around to easy, everyone EVERYONE thinks they are in love these days. Relationships are the same as friendships, they need to be maintained. I doubt ther occasinal myspace message or phone call is equivilant to holding someone in your arms, or going upside her head because shes dumb.

Id rather mock a dumb relationship than be stuck in one, but then agian thats why women dont last with me.

She cut my hair, and asked for my number, then called and informed me she was wearing Victoria's Secret lingerie and where was I, Iwas drunk at a friends party. When i got home to hear the message, I called at 2 in the morning. No answer, and she didn't call back for two weeks. Then we went out and had some drinks, she was arrested, and i spent the night at Wal-Mart thanks to a local popo. Long story there. But then no calls for a week, and she called while i was at home sick, then she drove over in the car that brought me here.


Ehh, then the rest was a flurry of dates, her moving in, trips, camping, etc.... We were planning on getting married in the spring, but we found out that my son was on the way, and got married in December. So we are going on one year. Had a child, bought a home, paid off her bills, flew out to see my parents, met most of my friends, etc.....


It is nice to find to find someone to share it all with.

If its one thing that annoys me is when someone says they I love you like after like say 2 weeks of dating. C'mon now that aint love... Love grows over a long period of time, its not an instant thing. Ya may like the person a lot... but it aint love... yet anyways if ya stay long enough with it... Missing someone a lot is love? couldnt that be lust? or perhaps maybe you miss your old daily routine that you had settled into. I agree you may have strong feelings but LOVE? But then agian, who really knows what love is. I totally agree, there was my friends cousin, she dated some dude for like 9 months pulled the whole "married" thing on myspace, I MET THE MAN I LOVE, hes 17 hes not a MAN. I think if your in highschool you dont have a CLUE about life, let alone love. I hate hearing how im wrong about how in love they are. I want to honestly line these emo boys and girls up and have them all answer the same question to show how SIMILAR they all are. How ununique their relationship really is, Erik has it right, all it is, is a strong friendship. Someone you enjoy being around.

Please dont take it as an attack on your relationship, I just enjoy taking an overview on ones life, dont just accept things as is, check things out in a deeper look. I could name 3-4 people even from this site, who are the most childish emo needy people when it comes to those of the oppisite sex. LOL. Oh well I suppose there are people who enjoy that quality.

I don't really agree with this... Coming from my perspective, when I met the man I dated when i was 16 (he was 17), we WERE naieve as to what love was, what to expect, ect. However, through it all, I can honestly say that I looked at the sitation with a completly open mind, and I know that I put the effort in to the relationship to have it be what real love is, and should be. I didden't question who he was, or what he wanted, and I diddent put up a front as to who I was and what I wanted. We had, for a short time, the most honest and pure relationship i've ever had up until this point, and to this day i still judge all relationships I have on the basic foundations we laid. Yes, in the end, we diddent stay together, and we know now that we arent really meant to be together... However, I did love him, and to this day I still do. Just because circumstances don't work in one's favor dosent nessicarily mean that the love wasn't real... I didden't put conditions or restraints onto him and how he should be, and when he decided he wanted somthing different, I felt crushed and completly alone, but at the same time I knew that having me wish for an outcome that he couldent live with was 100% selfish on my part, and it wasnt what love should be... with that said, I do think it's unfair to equate age and experence as to what true love is...

Thats fine, that was a well thought out responce, although i said a clue what life is. You said you were clueless to, and that feeling of loss is due to love? or the fact you lost something you had invested time into, or perhaps rejection? I think people do a LOT of growing from 16-20, I know I did and in no way am I a pampered child I havent spoken to my family in over 7 years now. Things happen we learn and grow from them, I also believe that there are many forms of love friend/family and true love. I think you can love many people, but finding true love isnt just we broke up i miss him still. I miss my ex, i think in reality we all miss our ex's in some degree. Who does miss good times with a friend? But in essence we are all right, no one can prove their feelings let alone disprove someone elses. The fact that age does sort of mesh in, how can you define love from lust if you dont understand it yourself? Or perhaps a deep friendship with that of desire? There are so many levels of the human i suppose the most cliche word is "soul" i think it takes growth before you can understand what you yourself are about yourself before you feel about anyone else. Not saying thats impossible, but how can you not know yourself yet find someone your destined to be with?

That reminds me, i always get a chuckle when someone tells me "I love him, and he loves me back" i commend all of you who have NOT said they love you in return, because no one can reallly truly know. This is by far one of the most intelligent forums ive visited. For those of you with b/f's g/f's and things are working out, awesome and congratz!
