Been with my bf for 4 months and he was planning on doing something till a bill collector said they were going to sue him for 600 bucks so now he cant do anything for me today. Its my first vday with someone and i get jipped. :-( no card, no flowers, no dinner, no nothing. im in a bad mood and hate this day!

My ex has a surprise planned for me. I'm nervous to find out what he has set up.

I got Elizabeth a dozen long-stemmed red roses, a ruby vase, some chocolates, and "The Departed" on DVD. haha.

We don't even get to do anything today, bc she's flooded with tests and school, and has to work tonight at Red Lobster until 10PM. Boo.

She's taking me to The Melting Pot on Friday.

Oh, I also gave her the Celica for her to use until she gets a new car. I guess that counts, too.

I dont get to see my boyfriend today either... actually I havent even seen him in over a month and a half because of the Army, so missing Valentine's day is really nothing to me...

BUT! whats awesome is is that tomorrow I'm flying to Monterey, California where he's stationed to see him for four days! So I'm really really friggen excited, but I'm soooo nervous about the trip over there cuz this is my first time flying by myself and I have 3 layovers. >_<

So I guess I'm getting a late Valentine's day, even though the reason I'm flying up there is for President's Day because he gets a three day weekend .

Yeah I get to see him but im a girl and I want a gift lol! i get to see him for about an hour. Hes taking the ferry boat over then were going to go grab starbucks then hes going back. I feel like im forcing him to even come out! My parents are pissed he isnt doing anything for me and to be honest I kinda am too. I mean for xmas I got a dvd. I spend money on him/us left and right. but yet I dont ever get anything it seems. Im a girl and i wanna be treated like a princess

Yes, You are very giving!! I don't think your BF should let you do all those things for him all the time. If I had a guy buying me stuff all the time I'd feel bad that I wasnt doing anything for him! But at the same time if it was me buying him a bunch of stuff its because I want to & I wouldnt expect anything in return. BUT im no expert when it comes to relationships....

But I am an expert when it comes to friends! (being a friend anyway) My friends here in Vancouver walk all over me (i feel like they do) They all HATE their Bf's, complain about them non-stop, yet they cant seem to get enough of them. I guess its true that women love the a**-hole type. My friends always come running to me every time they get in a fight. But if I ever call them needing help or a shoulder to cry on...they are no where to be found! I still love them though & continue to be there for them because thats just the kind of person I am.

Anyway Natalie come down here & I'll buy you somethiing for V-day! Im not at work today...

My wifes pretty understanding at least, we got a lil swept up on our bills so we planned something on the weekend instead (heck we both work today.. HECK im at work now lol) but yeah long story short brazilian steak houses are the best place to go... women dig the ambience and then men get to eat bloody meat cooked by a buncha foriegners

Dude - that's exactly what I'm doing for my GF too. Fogo De Caio [MSP?] FTW. They have guys walking around with meat on large spikes and they cut off some for you if you want. One side will be really rare, another side will be really well done and then there will be some in between. They have everything from fillet mignon to spare ribs! Man - Im gonna eat till I puke. Plus they have the best drinks. $100/person before drinks and tip though.

im havin a kinda sh*tty day..my gf is 4 hours away, cant drive to see her cuz of the snow storm, costs like $200 to take a train, busses are like a 6 hour ride. PLUS! i dont getta see her untill next weekend. So it kinda sucks, first time in almost 3 years wehavent been together. so im gettin my sister to drop off a flower to her at her work and we are gonna go out and do somethin special when i get home in a week and a half.

If you're connecting in L.A. or SFO, ask the flight attendant for some earplugs when you get on the prop plane for the short hop into Monterey. Those planes will destroy your hearing...

Yeah my trip is kinda weird... I'll be making a stop in Portland Oregon, and I'll be hanging out there for a few hours, then I'll make my way to San Fransico, and then from there I'll go to Monterey... haha I think its ridiculous to take 3 planes just to go over 2 states... but whatever! Good to know though about the lil prop plane, so thanks for that!

Its been snowing & sleeting up here since last night, roads are horrible so I wont be seeing my g/f until friday. V-day is being postponed. Going to cheesecake factory.

My gf works the night shift, so well be doing vday this weekend. I was prepared to spend: coach purse, fancy dinner, 5 star hotel for the night, but since she knows that i am saving up for a new car in '08 she decided to put a cap on the amount i can spend.

So putting on my cheap mcgyver thinking hat on. A trip to home depot and the fabric store and i will re-create a terrace dinner in paris in my living room, complete with live web-cam stream of the effile tower on my plasma via the wii (i love that thing). Cooking her favorite food from her favorite place using copycat recipes online. And busting out the sewing machine (yes i have a sewing machine and know how to sew) i made her a monogramed bath robe and PJs. In the end it might look ghetto, but im under the price cap and hopefully it really is the thought that counts.

Natalie: Sorry to hear about your bfs bill problems. It is what it is and the timing defn sucks. Just look to the future that he can make it up at a later time.

I spent mine like any other day. I went to work then to school and then back home to do homework. I'm single at the moment but I am talking to this girl, which I didn't get to see today but we haven't been talking long and I'm not even sure if we'll get together. Her friends and everything else comes before a relationship or so it seems. Oh well more women out there. I didn't buy her anything but I was and probably will later on give her a necklace I have on hand.
