well, my friend says he's open to the idea of going to the meet...but he wonders if y'all would let a Porsche hang out (she's very friendly, a little older, and not stuck up at all)


and since nobody's suggested a time for the meet yet (Jaws4God suggested March 8th for the date, and I wholeheartedly agree with that), how's afternoon-ish sound to everyone?

I'm not sure what you would like to do, but the so.Cal 6gc-ers typically stand around and dork out over their cars and take pictures...sometimes we go grab a bite to eat before or after.
at the big-ass (all-gen) Celi meet we had a few months back, we had a potluck lunch before the dorking-out. just a few suggestions to get ya going

thats fine, we'll find something to do, i can only stand around so long myself. the last time we had a mini meet we ate and checked out an autocross event. but we will def have fun doing something lol

Hey guys, I live in Raleigh, NC and I can help set up something. I would like to suggest having it in Raleigh, since there's a lot more to do there than in Greensboro. In Raleigh, there are a lot of malls to visit, museums, imports shop, nice locations for photoshoots, good restaurants, and a pretty nice nightlife scene. I can set up a daily schedule of things for us to do at the meet so that we can stay on task of everything. We can all meet at a central location, I am suggesting my friend's imports shop called "Phantasm Motorsports". They have a Dyno there and all the imports goodies you could want.

If we do it in Charlotte, I can work something out there also. My friend has a shop in Concord called BRE Motorsports, they have a dyno there too. We can meet up at Concord Mills and hit up some nice locations in Charlotte. Charlotte also have a couple of nice malls (mainly Southpark mall) and restaurants, and definitely some good spots for photoshoots too.

I would suggest against having it in Greensboro though, because Greensboro is kinda boring when it comes to having a meet. They mainly have the Four Seasons mall, UNCG College campus, and a few decent clubs.....but you'll be bored during the day for sure.

Anyways, I'll do some research and put up a positives and negatives list of locations to have this meet. But I would definitely pin it down to having it either in Charlotte or Raleigh. What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, my celica is in Raleigh also, it's undergoing a 3sgte swap......if we meet in Raleigh, at least you guys can get to see it.

Awh man, I was thinking March 8th would be a good day.......but that's during springbreak for a lot of people.....and I'll be up in New York that weekend. What about a Saturday in late March? The weather would be just about perfect around then and everybody will be back to normal schedule, so a weekend meet would be perfect.

I think the date is still tentative.. and Raliegh would be ok and i wouldn't mind seeing a swap in progress... when do you think it'd be done??

It looks like Charlotte is a better location for the most part. I am starting to think Charlotte should be the meeting point. What do you guys think about just meeting up at Concord Mills? By no means do we have to hang out there, I just think that Concord Mills would be a great location to meet up at.

Last weekend they allowed a Supra Meet. So we can either meet there or meet at Concord Mills and cruise to it together.

Thats a great idea man!!! Lets meet there, much better plan. He Jaws.....hit me up and maybe we can organize this together. I am on importsnc too.......I am the guy who designed the logo for that site and I am in Team RPM.

Me, I'll be in (Asheville) NC from March 8th to the 13th...Saturday's definitely the best day for me though.

And as I said before, there's definitely no need to schedule the meet around me; if y'all end up having it in late March, I can just go bug whoever happens to be free on the 8th

Well, I am not really getting it done over at Phantasm. That's just where my car is at. Those are my friends and I work on it over there. But yeah, I am usually there everyday after work around 6ish. You can come to me for any kind of Celica questions.

So far, we have six people, I was hoping to get around 10 cars out. Why don't you guys go out and try to recruit more ppl in NC that drives Celica, I think I might know 1 or 2 more w/ the 6th gen around me.

i met one guy in Greensboro who said he just bought a Silver ST hatch from a guy in Indiana.. I can't remember what day he was going to pick it up... but he was REALLY into celica's and would def come if I can find his contact info...




I don't see Robert Andrews on that list... I hope he can make it..

So far though, here's the plan that I think would happen:

A) it's going down on a Saturday, I think we should meet at noon
B) We're meeting at Quaker Steak and Lube, it's a car theme place so it'll be perfect
C) we'll all eat lunch together (I am thinking we'll just eat at Quaker Steak and Lube if everyone is kool with that) and get to know each other (bring photos, laptop w/ videos, books, any cool celica stuff to share)
D) We will then proceed to cruise to Charlotte and began the city cruise to various locations to take photos. I am thinking 3 main hot spots would be perfect. Any location that can fit all the cars and have a nice scenic background for us to work with is fine.
E) after the cruise, I think it'll be around 4 or 5pm, we can proceed to go have some fun at an arcade place or that place in Charlotte that does the go-carts and stuff. I forgot what it was called, but I've been told it's a lot of fun.
F) After that, we can probably have dinner together and then hit up the bar or club if anybody is interested. But I say after dinner will be the official end of the meet.........unless we're having too much fun.

Anyways, that's the plan I had in mind, lemme know if you guys have any kool ideas, we need to brainstorm.
