Check out the Euphoria engine on youtube, it will make the characters and objects move super realistically and add so much to the comedy of the game.

Erik...is it kinda like a been there played that kinda thing not much has changed so whats the point? You seemed to be happy about assassins creed being a trilogy but I guess thats only bc it has a story to follow and it kinda just ended.(I still didn't finish the game...im close tho) I'm just wondering bc I liked all the older gta games so I figure I know what to expect and Ill enjoy this game if its like the rest...I'm just excited for it. What I don't understand is when people get all excited for a new Madden..bc those games are always the same imo.

not this map is gonna be crazy. its been being set back for a while because they are going to make every buliding enterable and most rooms. also it takes 1 hour real time to drive across the whole map to the other side.

i think the moddin of the game is what makes these sooooo awesome for me.
of course i game on my pc instead of a console, but being able to add your own cars, and change pretty much anything you wish always makes a game fun.
imo vice city is my favorite simply due to how its modded on my computer. when i play it on a console, it sucks! cars are slow, weapons arent fun, cops are stupid

So I picked this game up. I wasn't going to, but after the great reviews I did.
Well, the game has already froze up on me twice. I can't believe it. This is the PS3 version which people are saying looks better, but to have the game freeze twice in less than an hour is totally unacceptable. I'm probably going to bring it back and get another. If that doesn't help, I'm returning it permanently.
Update: Doing some research, I found that it is suggested that all game data is deleted and reinstalled. When you start the game it installs about 3000+mb of game data before you play, takes a few mins to load it up. We'll see if this fixes it.
Update: It didn't. 3 lockups within 45minutes.

^^ that sucks....ive played mine for 3 hours straight with no freezing. all i can say is awesome graphics. there is a learning curve if your used to the old gta series. definitely not your usual "steal car, beat up people, shoot people" game anymore. not to mention you can go online and roam around the city and mingle and/or shoot other online people. on top of the extracurricular pool, you can play darts, go bowling, visit comedy clubs and strip clubs.
Nothings worked for me, I will probably return the game today.

My PS3 is fine. I've never had these problems with any other game. I'm not the only one, if you google GTA4 freezing you'll find a lot of forum posts regarding the issue. Mostly with 60gig PS3s, but I have a 40gig. It's also not limited to PS3, some 360 owners are reporting the problem also, but not nearly to the extent of PS3.
One rumor was that Gamestop got a bunch of bad discs, and this is where I purchased mine, so I will be returning it and buying from a different vendor. If this solves the problem, then maybe it is a bad batch.
I'm just pissed that at first I wasn't even going to buy it, then with the exellent reviews I was like ok why not, and then it's just locking up my PS3.
