Use a tripod - when focused so close - the slightest shakes can ruin a photo.

^yup...or bump up the iso and bump up the f-stop to get an even light balance and still have a fast shutter speed to prevent a blur of the picture. next time we hang out eric, i will give u a few pointers

taken from 16 feet away hand held, manual with live view, and image stabilization at 135 mm.
