bumping this up, who PMed me about the 10000k kit? I can't remember. I've still got it set aside for you, please PM me
@GriffGirl: seems I'm the only one interested frown.gif
I'll take one 6k kit fitting the JDM projectors (H1?).
From what I've read in this thread you can also supply hid kits for the high beams and fog lights?

cya, abraxxa
Yes, the JDM projectors take H1; the high beams take 9005 and the fogs take H3.

Kit is in my hands, will ship today (I'll PM you as well)
I literally have these exact same one i have the 8K 55watt, There amazing so these are the real deal i dont even need high beams i turn them on and u cant even tell there on lol.
Michelle, I was just wondering if your supplier has D2R bulbs? I finally got around to checking out the lights on my IS and I think it's just about time for new bulbs, not a whole new bulb and 55w ballast. Seems like that would be overkill. Thanks!

Dan, I'll see if he's got 'em, if he doesn't, there's another guy here in town who might. I'll text you or FB you or some form of electronic communication tongue.gif
Sounds good! I know that I can get some from DDM Tuning pretty cheap, but given the difference between the HID kit that I got from you and the HID kit I got from DDM that I just put in my old Celica, I'd much rather buy from you. Your kit was much brighter. Plus I'd rather support 6gc members than someone I've never heard of.

I cant reach griffgirl, so does anyone have any comparable suggestions for me?

I dont know where to start...(actually ill start by taking a pic of the ballast with all the info..)

anyways, thanks in advance.
just make sure they are AC ballasts not DC.

Yes, I'd buy a pair of new ballasts. This is probably a given, but make sure the wattage and any other specs match the previous ballasts. Wouldn't hurt to go with a reputable brand rather than an ebay shop, but that's your call

AC ballasts lasts longer, better components. Of course you can buy the more expensive kits, but you pay more like for philips or opt7 but you pay more for branding and maybe last a little bit longer than regular AC kits. honestly depending on a lot of conditions like your cars electrical system, maybe climate, components build, handling, you can never tell, I've seen generic last 8 years at least I've seen it last even couple months. Again those were DC ballasts. I would say AC last longer in average/general. again anything can have defects so you never know thats why theres warranty. other things that might help if you have a bigger budget is the canbus systems supposedly for anti-error, or the relay harness to help with the power and ground. it really depends. in our 6gc, just the standard AC hid kits work well. Some cars will flicker, winking, or have difficulty turning on with the DC kits. I've tried perhaps and installed at least 30 kits of different brands and types on different cars.

When you say buy in pairs? I'm thinking you mean a complete kit or do you mean lows and fogs?

I'm pretty sure he means buying left/right counterpart ballasts. Like if he needs the left low beam ballast, he should also buy a new right low beam ballast. Like buying new tires.

Sorry, when I said pairs I meant left and right headlights.

Not headlights/fogs.

I had Griffgirls for 8 years and worked just fine...

anyone have any affordable suggestions?

I had the 10,000k all white. I can not find 10,000k at the moment tho. Only 6,000k white.

I want no color tint in my bulbs.

are 10,000k illegal now? or am I not looking hard enough?

with day light savings into effect now I need headlights asap! kindasad.gif
