Calling all celicas. There is going to be a meet in Piegon Forge,Tn this May. The date is 7-8 of June, which is a Sat thur a Sun. The meeting place is at Governors Palace, time will be at 3, we will be there till 4, after that we will be off doing things. The stuff planned will be: take pics, meet everybody, go karts at the NASCAR track, food, drive through the mountians, cruise through Gatlinburg later on that night. We are trying to make it a big success meet so we need ur atendance. So this time we are anouncing it earlier and all cars are welcome. There will also be people staying the night so the meet dosen't have to end when ever.

Also just to let you all know that the date may change some. Depending on when people can make it. Im gona talk it over with the other people and see what they say. So let me know if you can make that date or the weekend before or the 12-13th of may.

i plan on making this one, but i'll be staying more than 2 days. i don't wanna drive 4/5 hours in the summer and only spend one night in such a nice place w/ my gf. >> >>

btw, yeah, it needs to not be planned for a set time yet. IMO, there should be an option of a couple weekends, and take a poll. sure you need to think of who is plannin this, but, that's not the only people you can think about. >>

BRYAN I thought we were goign to talk about this? LOL I FEEL left out here! Im not being an ass or anything but this kinda was my idea last year and Im the one that pushed and got everyones cell phone numbers and found hotels (along with johns) help for everyoen to stay at. I mean whats up with making a set date I mean its so early and all. Ok Ill stop bitchin jsut sorry I mean i felt I was one of the main organizers of the meet.....hmmm guess not. Sorry I being mean i know! >>

You man we invited you in the room when we were talking about it. But don't feel left out. You are one of the planners/organizers, I made sure that you were part of that. So when we start talking about the next stages of the planning you wil be there. But anyway buddy its your idea and yor gona help with the rest.

Glad to see all you guys already have the info on this, we need this posted at every damn celica site on the net......if I end up going to Pigeon
Forge before then i will try to print off some fliers and post them up in GB and PF u know!!

So we will see, I will try to make some fliers and see what you guys think about them!

Well Last year we met at the motel (BRYAN AND SEAN WERE LATE..hehe). After that we went and ate and then went to take pictures at the music mansion. Then after pictures we went to ride gocarts at the NASCAR place. Then we headed down to Gatlinburg to cruise areound and take some more pics....but all this was not really planned.

id say like a 12-13 hour drive from NY, check yahoo maps for a true time frame, thats just off the top of my head.

I'll go but I'd probably stay more then just one night b/c it's going to take me about a day just to drive down there from MD. But as long as I have enought notice (like 2 weeks) any weekend is good for me. I dunno if this helps but I can get a Gov't discount on hotel rooms too.

Here is an update on the meet. First of all the date has been moved to teh 7-8 of June. It looks liek we will either be meeting up st the goveners palace or maybe at a toyota dealership, but that part is in the air for now. Im glad that we got some interest over here about the meet. I know at Celica.net we got a good showing started up. We are also looking at trying to get a toyota dealership to sponser themeet or something along those lines. We have posted intfo on the meet on the MR2 boards and are gona post on the supra forums about this. We are gona try and make this not just a celica meet but a huge toyota sports car meet. Here is the link to the orginal post thats going on over at Celica.net . I will post info on hotels once we figure that out later on in feb. Also lets start up a roll call of who all is gona be there. Just post if you are gona make it or if you are a maybe. I will update this list as the time goes on. So far its : Me, Mizuryu, John, jayi12-15psi, MandyGirl94,celicagirl022.

i personally think that you all are trying to make this too big too fast. w/ that many more people, you're gonna make the odds of "groups" and cliches being formed much better. also, getting a dealership to "sponser" a meet isn't useless, but it's gonna be really tough for them to give assets to a bunch of kids w/ cars. and it would take a couple years of good solid meets for them to jump at the chance to fund such an event. i always thought this was a CELICA meet. not a toyota meet. i'm not interested in meeting up w/ the mr2 and supra elitest, i wanna meet the community i'm involved in. sure i prop all toyota cars, but i am only active in a concentrated portion of the people that drive them. but i'm not planning this, i'm just offering my opinion. and that is to keep it to the celica community. i know you're just tryin to get more people, and a couple extra people comin that are friends is cool, but when you start inviting people on every toyota message board, you've got more of a chance for bullshxt and conflicts.

as of now, i don't think anybody else is going to say anything about it on any other boards beside celica related pages, that way, people from those websites will be notified. But, we are still open to whoever wants to bring whatever, its just the fact that the only place they are going to find info is on the celica pages.......


That way, as john said, people will be more apt to know everybody and not stay with their own lil groups,

Well Im not totally sure IM going it depends on when Senior Week is. Cause I would like to go if Jamie goes but she said we could come stay up there for like 3-4 instead of going to it. So lol Im not sure lol! I think having other cars would be a good idea but I seriously doubt that we could get someone to sponser it. SEAN needs to design us a good shirt.....like last time. Am I goign to be in charge of motels again like last time? Or is someone else going to be taking it over. We could jsut stay at the GRAND again but, Im not sure how the rooms were since I was unable to stay.

Jason the rooms were fine, for the price. Thats cool if you want to do the rooms again cause that was great what you did last time. So of the other hotels that I have stayed in there was the Ramada Inn which wasn't bad, and I think its called the Creekside Inn? and that one was nice also. We will figure out the rooms soem time in March so that we can get enough and what not.
