Ok so i might get some people mad or get some people not a fan of me but i dont understand why people are being so uptight about the OT forum. the point of the OT forum is just that. off topic. This is just a forum. we all need to lighten up. If people are complaining about peoples threads or posts in the OT forum than y did the thread to talk about anything get closed? its perfect. People cant talk,debate and joke about ANYTHING. if it gets to dirty or over the line a mod can just clean it. I jsut dont understand why everyone is so uptight about the off topic forum. Seriously who wants to be part of a forum that is so uptight. Most of us are adults here. i seriously feel like some of the people complaing about jokes or any type of unseriousness are the ones acting like middle school kids. If it was in any other forum section i could understand. but the off topic? come on people. lighten up. we all need to laugh. if no ones laughin than your not living. there are plenty of options to fix these problems. i know im gonna get critisized for this but i dont care. i needed to get this off my chest.

I have to agree with you man, this site is getting lamer each day. I have to think about things before i post and sometimes i refrain from doing so cause it may be viewed as an "unnecessary" post.

And its not just the OT imo, its all of the sections, you can't even give an honest opinion anymore. you get flamed if its negative towards the OP. Its like, why did you post if you DON'T want my opinion?! Gotta take the good and the bad, everybody doesn't like the same thing. Big deal.

i agree too!!! but what do u do?? i say its fun cuz the OT forums does give me something to laugh about and makes my day at work go way faster..
adding more to it and cHecking out the other celica forums we are one of the most active forums around here.

the OT forum is the one i read now most of the time, since it makes me laugh. The other forums are so slow now a days.

Otherwise this is a loosing battle. I agree with you all, but this is still a loosing battle. The fourms are at the mercy of whom so ever moderates them, And we are subject to the actions taken by the moderators. Seconly, The moderators primarily act upon a direct result of our less humorous members. When they report a post, it becomes the mods duity to remove/edit said post. So it only takes one whinny person to ruin all of the fun for everyone; and while that seems unfair, it's just how this paticular fourm is managed.

I'm not saying that i enjoy all of my posts being deleted, or that i'm not allowed to be the high energy and obseanly hallarious person that i am... But it's how things work on this paticular fourm. Too bad we can't have a back room to go into. One that isn't accessable to the genneral public or our titty-baby members. That'd rock.

I know we keep saying it, but this will be sorted when the new features are implemented.

Until then, stop whining all the time

It's private bandwidth. Play properly or just find another forum to use there are plenty of other. Join the actual off topic forum.

If this was a publicly funded forum you have a leg to stand on but since this is privately funded its just going to do nothing but irritate the majority and the mods by constantly complaining. Nobody is forcing anybody to be here.

BTW those "bad examples" were some pretty good & fun-loving threads But Celiracer18, if you notice, I also do alot of helping too. I've got quite a knowledge and do help people out; And more often than given credit for.

And while on that note, Manphibian (& other mods) My last post on this thread was not calling you guys nazi's or anything. But only mentioning that that's what ya'll have to do as moderators. Ya'll have to ensure that the threads stay to the high standards that is 6gc.net, and that most other fourms lack. Also i was trying to plainly say that things are brought to your attention by the "report this post" feature.

My God - are you sure it's not Celiracer3yo? Seriously - don't like off topic - don't go there. Real simple. Grow up, stop acting like a child and just because you have 0 sense of humor - don't force others to see it your way. I agree that the Troll threads which show pictures of people randomly taken from Myspace and proceed to bash them for 40-100 pages are bad and we don't need them around here. Doubly so for threads bashing people's cars - these are personal affronts and should not be allowed.
A random thread where anyone can talk about anything as long as it's not lude or harmful to others or their cars is great. it helps some of us pass the day. It makes us smile etc etc.
If a few people want to act like tittybabies because it hurts their little feelings - then maybe they need to get in better touch with the world around them. Perhaps they should worry more about themselves rather than run off and be little tattle tales.
I swear - I haven't used any of these adjectives to describe people since elementary school - know why? Because I have yet to run across adult or near adult people who act like elementary school people. Are you the same type of people who try to get shows like South Park and Aqua Teen taken off the air? Are you the same people who favor censorship in music?
Grow up.

Furthermore - opening up off topic [Or whatever we are waiting on that will allow this type of thing] to be truely off-topic with the understanding that all off-topic-ness in the other forums must stop will only help keep all the other forums clean. Then our friends here who can't handle the affront to their fragile little eyes can feel safe in the other forums and open off-topic at their own peril.

i'd love to be the one to let the cat out of the bag, but thats chris' place, and all i can say is that he is working on it.
just cause its off topic does NOT mean anything goes.
it means anything not directly related to a 6gc, yes, but there are still rules to follow, and we ask all of you to use some common sense in applying them.
for example, posting links to other forums' threads where people are just straight up being bashed, (for whatever reason) is just wrong, and should and will be closed.
there are tons of things like that, that arnt "written in the rules" but to me it just seems like common sense.
if your here to just use up christians bandwith with crap like that, go elsewhere, period.

BTW - I apologise to the mods whom I think are doing a great job of walking the line between over board and above board and I understand how hard it is to define that line. My post above may contain some stuff I should not have posted and if you want to edit it or have me do so - I understand. I love this place - always have and I don't want it to become the lame ghost town it can be with all the fun taken out.

I agree with DEATH...of course the mods have to do their jobs, but half the threads that were closed weren't even harmful. OT should stay OT, and if a chat thread gets closed, then all of OT should go.

I will just say this once. 6gc is becoming less visited by me, and some others i used to see.

I laugh at D-man comments. I shake my head with RJB. but at the everything is well balanced.

Really, and seriously , if its not the fact that i want to see what D-man posts, i would not log in for many days, because frankly nobody is interesting in helping anybody else. Everybody is selling their cars, and posting their new cars.

It is becoming depressing, more and more. People leaving and stuff. All this rant, yes this is private site. I respect that, but it relieves me of my daily stress, and i think i have more stress that half the people over here.

I love my celica, i drive it everyday, and its better with this site, because it helps me take care of it. But lets not ruin this site.

This place is nor a circus, nor a church. Lets keep it balanced.
