Fire is not generally desirable

great to see some more work coming out of this thread

With your intercooler sprayers, is it possible to adjust them to get a more atomised & wider range spray coming out?
Also hought about swapping to the ST202 (I'm pretty sure it was that one) throttle cable for shorter length?

curious as to why you didnt upgrade the cams or do a mild regrind on them?
st205 powered ss3 coupe
Hi, guess that's a future consideration , and ultimately the gen4 motor is the one to get. The main idea of this car is the low down torque, so I kept a stock head , you see unlike the ct turbos, this 28rs doesn't trail off at 6000 anyways. I do understand there's huge gains to be had though

understandable, it would make sense keep the stock cam and head for low end torque as a mild or upgraded cam would give you more power up top.
with the 28rs, when is the turbo fully spooled? the ct's is around 3500rpms, curious to know the power band difference between the two.
st205 powered ss3 coupe
yeah, long gears and heavy weight
spooling range is between 2200 and 2800 with about 15psi , from 3500 to the redline you can have anything up to 25psi

some new handling bits
GAB front strut brace and Nolathane front swaybar bushes. Unfortunately the swaybar bushes were too big to use we they were 20mm and my stock sway bar is 16mm?

Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar

new D bushes for rear swaybar

Excellent purchases!
What kind of rear sway bar are you rolling with?
nice stuff mike glad to see you posting again!
What I think when you think I care
This car just keeps breaking, a bolt rattled out from the timing cover backing plate and shredded my cam belt, my alternator just died from trying to run with a flat battery

that was my fault today....
Im running factory sway bars, all i have is BC coilovers, I got the bushes for the front to fix annoying squeeking and found they were the wrong size... so i returned them (but i managed to use their greese to fix my squeeky factory D bushes) and they convinced me to buy a rear sway bar lol

from the looks of it, it doesnt look like theres any sense upgrading the end links, even though they are skinny, the coilovers are aluminum, the mounting tab for the end link is aluminum and is just like 4mm thick tig welded on, the tab would break off the coilover before the factory endlink ever succumbed to stress...
the improvement comes from how much lift off you select with the 3 holes on the end.

you could of asked us that!! I even knew its 15mm sway bar size for the front. Its posted on the superstrut suspension thread that stickied. THe ss-III sway bars are 14mm.
The stock GT ST204 mcpherson sway bars are 20mm front and 16mm rear.
a cmon you cant be serious about the rear end link. the tabs would not break. that only happens on the front mcpherson suspension like the pic I posted

^ He is having torque shoved to his rear wheels too though, so it doesn't apply the same as with a FWD Celi.

What sway bar did you get? the adj. or non adj one?
(\__/)(='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your(")_(") signature to help him gain world domination.
sorry i didnt take the swaybar out of the packaging yet, have been busy with moving house and issues with the car,
the brand is Whiteline which is made in Australia and is the major manufacturer of Non-Chinese chassis stiffening components in this region (New Zealand and Australia etc)
as you can see in the photo the end is hanging out with 3 holes on the end, with the hole on one end being most lift off and the hole on the other end being least lift-off, i plan to just start in the middle and see if theres any change at all then play with the other settings.
also, the major brand of polyurethane products in this area is Nolathane. They listed a part number for D bushes too big for ST205 Celica GT-Four unfortunately they ****ed up by having an incorrect database

Tuned to 200 kilowatts, injectors maxed

blue line is on 0.8bar wastegate spring pressure, pink line is with a bleed-off boost tap which spiked up to 1.5bar and dropped back to 1.2bar

Ahh just little bits now, I need the hand controller for my power fc and some water temp and oil press gauges, i definitely need an electronic boost controller.
I got nowhere to go from here, power wise. injectors are maxed, turbo wont put out much more

Where to from here? Do a heli.
You'll be mad happy with 200wkw, just drive it for a while, then decide if you need more.
1200 cc injectors and switch to ethanol advance timing

i've had **** luck with my car too...dead alt from skinny negative. and other stupid problems....
