What were you using for a camera/rig?

iPhone 5 with iOS 7 on HDR. The video looks like **** when uploaded because Facebook compresses it. I'll upload stuff to photobucket later and see how it comes out. I've got an interview/video in Cam's 3S-GTE coupe too.

got new kicks for my first race this sunday
and now have finally rid the car of the Fuzion tires



havent really messed with them too much, they are my first bridgestone tires and all i have to compare them to is the now discontinued Dunlop Z1 Starspecs which have now been replaced with Direzza ZII's
Just thought Id try a different brand but I believe next summer I am popping on a pair of ZII's

first official day back on the track and sadly is the last race of the year frown.gif

I didnt really push the car as much as I should of and fell short of 1st place by .200 seconds

BUT!

BOY oh BOY does that LSD paired with the new tires help.
I wish I was able to compare it more closely with how the car was before the year off, but I am sure there is a significant difference.

Now I have 7 DAMN months till race season again!!

A dive upwards, yes. The picture of the BMW you posted doesn't even look real anymore, it looks like a drawing. I looked into it awhile back and there are some high grade Polaroids out there, then of course you have the professional analogue cameras which far surpass the quality of a Polaroid or anything else. Digital has still yet to match the quality of analogue, though the convenience and price of digital is really hard to pass up. I like the pictures you can get from a high quality Polaroid camera, plus there are lots of neat things you can do to edit them hands on. After that can scan them into a computer and go even further with Photo Shop. Just something to consider, there are lot of options out there these days. I like digital cameras, but like what you posted I don't even understand the point of having an expensive digital only to Photo Shop the Hell out of it and make it look like a drawing...

Film is great and all. I love shooting with my Medium Format bodies..for fine art. But its just asinine to use it for car photo's at least for me.

Digital is the only sensible option for this.

Mortgage your house and buy a top of the line Large Format camera, then you can take wonderful pictures of your newly mortgaged house. tongue.gif

If you're going to be Photo Shop heavy on the pictures, perhaps a cheaper camera would do? One of the days I'll replace the 7.1MP Canon I have, but it still works so I don't see the point since I don't do anything professional with it. That and I'm terrible when it comes to actually using cameras as an artistic tool versus just using them as a scientific tool.
