Split down the middle gt-4 build *Update 1/2/12* - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #68701 203 posts Started by jmeyer
Haven't had much time to post the work on the second GT-4 but I was able to snap a couple today. It's getting a brilliant white bath then its time to dive into the interior. This one is getting a recaro leather interior with more vip in mind then race. I plan on keeping this one relatively stock and a clean daily driver.

Bought my first classic lol. Soon to be drift monster

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. I hardly log here anymore.
I dont think people understand we are never going to see cars like this again. The days of spacious engine bays and minimal electronics is over. Sporty light weight RWD drives are a thing of the past, if we dont save them they are going to rot away or be used to haul mexicans across the border (sorry that was a joke, no offense intended)

done properly a weld is stronger than the base material. and if he thought strength was an issue he couldve gotten 16ga sheet metal (what the car is mostly) and welded a strip of that over his seams. i would do it exactly the same. correction i WILL do it the same, if my V6 gets over 400HP.

I've been traveling like crazy for work. I'll take some new pictures, I've been slowly finishing the white gt-4. Bought a 1987 Corolla FX from New Mexcio that I'm putting a 4age bt 6spd in so I have been focusing a little more on that.

truely disgusting.... smile.gif I love it!! I on the other hand will very shortly be doing the OPPOSITE of what you did haha. firewall swaps etc. I don't want super strut and want to be able to source usdm parts for suspension..... that's my reasoning.... but this is a work of art. I'm assuming you went to school for ?engineering? or ?industrial technology?. You don't just gain skills in bracket design and autocad without some training haha.
Very nice work
second favorite thread on this site!! great job man, keep it up!

tell me.... are there ANY updates at all? ANY??!! I've missed reading stuff on this thread to be honest.
Great build mate, but may i ask why you went for superstrut?
Also are you using the 6 speed form a BZR ae111? if so make sure you rebuild it as even under the power of the 4age BT
they seem to pop quite a bit

anywho hope you like your gt4, hopefully getting mine soon biggrin.gif
Most recent pictures of Number 2. Just needs an interior and some finishing touches. 10 minutes after these photos were taken the car was covered in snow. Thank you lake erie and your lake effect bs.

Car looks great. Are you planning to keep making these or are you through after this one?
you could probably open up a mini-toyota factory and mass produce these. laugh.gif laugh.gif

I would pay you to build one for me in the future. smile.gif

This is my last one. They are a ton of work and its time to spend summers enjoying them, not building them.
