when you live in nebraska anything is a tourist attraction, we have nothing here. six flags is fun, but im just going down to meet all of you and hangout for a day or 2 even though that sounds tempting

do you realize how much farther of a drive that is for me? thats a 8 hr drive compared to a 6hr drive, i mean if more people would be willing to go to that instead of what we have planned i'd go but this is for all those who can't make it to the meets around the coast and can't travel very far. I'd prefer celica's only too, i mean yea i love toyotas in general but the whole purpose of this is for people that we meet on here to meet up and talk and have fun for a day.

I would like to go to the Ohio meet as well, but St. Louis is only 2 hours from me and Ohio is significantly further. As a destitute college student, I probably shouldn't drive to Ohio lol

yeah, i'll have about an hour or so of a drive to the park, vs. an 8 hour drive. its sorta a no brainer for me.

I think it would be awesome to go to the Ohio meet though. Supras, MR2's, all kinds of different Celicas.. It will be a good meet, no doubt. But I just don't have the money to drive there. I'm working 3 days a week for minimum wage. Driving to school is eating up the money I do make. I need several hundred dollars in the next few weeks for stuff like my insurance license, September's phone bill plus I'm switching wireless providers so I'll need money for that too, and half of my paycheck goes to gas. I guess it's a good thing I don't have a girlfriend at the moment lol

Hey guys, what's going on? I got my celica back and it's in motion now. Can't wait to til next June... Gotta get that engine bay right in the meantime.

Nice! Good to hear that everything is in order. I'm really looking forward to this meet. I'm sure you guys know exactly what I'm saying when I tell you that it SUCKS not being near any other members! I see a 6gc out on the road every once in a while, but nobody else is a member. And everyone else I see driving around is either a grandma or middle-aged woman who couldn't care less about the car.

I have ran into a red Celica with an Invader body kit on it around here, but I wasn't around my car and I didn't want to flag them down in the parking lot and be like "Hey guys, I love Celicas too!" and look like a total idiot.

haha he probably would have thought you were nuts, but yea i wish there was more support for celica's, such great cars, when june gets closer we'll be able to pinpoint things down a lot easier, like me and keison are getting a hotel room close by because we live so far away we dont want to have to drive back the same day, keison would it be cool if more were to join us? i know you said of getting some sort of armed forces discount but i wasnt sure.

I'd be down, i couldn't stand the 5-6 hr. drive.

My birthday is on the 21st, and that is at Hooter's, so what better way to celebrate? Except it's a 5 hour drive. I'll think about it though.

Haha a little early, but thanks anyway! I'm getting excited for this meet... It can't get here soon enough. It's motivating me to get a lot done to my car. I was just working on it as I felt like it, but now I would like to have a few things properly painted before then, maybe order new seat covers and get those installed, and maybe get my car lowered again. None of that actually has to happen before the meet, since I'm not in any hurry, but it would be nice if it could be!

Freddy, when is your birthday? Is it in December?

Yo, I'm from Champaign Illinois which is like right in the center of the state, I would be down to meet up with you guys, I am also down to come to STL next year. I am a chef at a hotel and I might be able to get discounts on the rooms as well!! Plus I could help with the BBQ thing, even though I would be on "vacation" I guess I could still cook... rolleyes.gif

More and more people hopping on board... A year ago, this meet wouldn't have been able to come together. I'm glad to see the Midwest has finally got a few more Celica enthusiasts running around.
