Idea was to attempt to revive a dying breed of car by getting some 6gcs together. I think ideally we are looking to get 6gcs there but I duno its up to the rest of the guys.

Welllllll....I kind of agree with Yuri. I'd rather just have 6GC people there.

Sorry I won't be able to make this one. I was just in Orlando in the 6GC this past weekend too. As I have mentioned in a previous post in this thread, I can get a section for 6GC or Celicas at the annual HUGE MR2 Spring meet that usually takes place in Orlando in May.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Yes, awesome. How old are you folks anyway? I'm ancient as well, 19. I'm practically an adult.

But in all seriousness...I was going to put up a list of things to bring sometime this week. Personally, I would be down with supplying everyone with burgers. I realize we can get patties at Publix, but that's just a bunch of ground beef. I make some mean onion burgers, much much better. So if anyone has any objection to this, let me know here and if not...you'll have some damn good burgers.

Other than that, I really don't need much as I don't drink soda. So if somebody can supply water and canned soda, that negates the need for cups. So I really think only napkins and plates are essential, besides that people can bring chips, snacks, and condiments as they like.

So, let's get a list going; again, I'm volunteering myself for burgers pending that nobody has an objection. I'm planning on bringing JUST the meat, so no charcoal, buns, condiments, etc. I figure that we can see what people are willing to bring, and if necessary I'll of course supply. Also, these burgers will be 1/4 pound each, so not necessarily that big. I myself (at 145ish pounds) can eat two, so I'm pretty much figuring two for everyone.

In all seriousness, ive got the charcoal/firewood under control, perhaps some other goodies at publix.

I think mainly unless you have something on hand already and would like to bring it, we'll just all hit up publix 1 mile away and split the bill.

Bslik, i strongly encourage you to PM some members local to you and maybe get some company on the long trip. I have tried and failed with most of them, maybe you'd have better luck? Just a suggestion.

Im definitely going to be there- I tried to read the thread and maybe I missed it, but i didnt see a location ... could you please elaborate on the details of this meet- I heard of this through another 6g owner who i am probably riding out there with. So details please-lol

Glad you could make it! We're doing a meet and greet with some grilling in Apopka, and then Samir has a cruise route set up for us. We'll meet up at 12 on the park grounds, and then leave for the cruise a few hours later I guess.

Also, I figure food and Celica porn (namely my car, of course ) should keep everyone happy, but if anyone has an activity to suggest (something like the blind car parking in the Cali meet), we'll welcome any suggestion.

And just to clarify, Samir had planned for us all to go to Publix to pick up all the supplies, except for the burgers, which I'll be bringing. You're all welcome to put your name on the above list for whatever you might like to buy, but I don't think anyone actually needs to bring anything, we'll purchase it there (except for a cooler, no need to buy one if somebody has one).

Glad more and more people are gaining interest in this. I have already told our resident cook that I would like to buy some fish at publix. Weather permitting this will be a nice meet.

I got there kind of late, so I didn't bother to take any pics of my car. It was awesome though! Wasn't surprised that I was the only Celi out there.

Damnit, well i cant make it not only is my car still down but i have an FTX (Field Training Excercise) the 18-21 for the Army so i wont be able to make it. Let me know how it goes and if there will be another.

we've had meets in miami, ft.lauderdale, and orlando many times (from 03-07ish?). we had a cool group with some of the og's- adam, jen, stephen, ben, colin, jordi, to name a few. we had people go up and down from all over the place. a lot of people tend to back out last minute. it was always the regulars that showed. some of us got different cars so we wouldnt go on as often, some moved, or just rearranged priorities.

it was always fun times though lol. the ones that stick out the most was orlando when we hit up the racetrack and in fort lauderdale where we ate, hung out, and got wasted. i hope you guys have an awesome time.
