yes ge head, 264 BC cams were my choosing, your choice of management is where the $$$ will eat you.
well i better start doing research. does the 5S manifold match up? blah blah

could use it, but the 3s intake mani gives u more space to work with smile.gif
Thats a gen 1 3sge head. Thats what I'm using on my car with a gen 1 3sge sidefeed intake manifold too. The gen 1 and 2 3sgte turbo manifold will bolt right up. If you plan on using the gen 2 3sge head, I believe you can only get it overseas, that will accept the gen 2 turbo and intake manifold. Now if you use a gen 3 3sge head, You will have to use gen 3 turbo and intake manifold. I guess you could use the stock gen 3 3sge intake manifold, but would you want to deal with acis?

But if you just plan on having a fun car and not make 350 horses, why not build up the 5s right?

I hate that you have every car that I really, truly, genuinely want. When I come down there I'm going to leave with one of them, and it's not going to be the one I drove down in laugh.gif
you have to get down here first

I might be in vegas at the end of the month, don't you need a vacation?
Vegas baby! i dont know if i posted it on here, but i turned the boost up to 10 psi and let me tell you its so AWESOME!!!!! its nothing like my 7th gen, but this is fun

is it just me or is your fuel map a bit jumpy. I tend to use the same value across the whole row. I have the FIC for my 7afte also.

One thing....I also have this rather annoying misfire on idle and part throttle (lioght load). Nothing i do cures it. I have changed gaskets, injectors, earth, fuel pressure regulator...NOTHING. What's this with resistors.

J
try pulling some timing

I read somewhere that I did not need to adjust timing so I just tapped into it for a reading. I will be doing the resistor mod this weekend and I will rewire to intercept crank signal.

J
on an NA engine and you dont need to pull timing with boost? seriously? whoever told you that, slap them!

ok, by the by. I will sort the timing out....but this misfire / hesitation is way before boost. even on idle. it's intermittent. car has driven fine for 2 years now with turbo.

All I wanna know is how to do the resistor mod for the 7afe.

Much thanks.

J
do it the same way i guess. read the link i posted earlier. just do the CRK MAG I +/-

Talking to Jim the other day enlightened me. i guess the factory ECU is really good at controlling knock and pulling timing. i might adjust my MAP a little and not be so conservative on my timing. the big killer is teh cams. as you can see i hit peak power at like 3400 RPM's

well im considering dropping in a ST205 WRC setup in the car. so this all might be moooo like a cows opinion, it dont matter lol

Looks like he means 3sge head. Thats what I'm currently on with my 5sgte set-up. Had to replace the head due to issues.
