I was thinking about this the other day. I plan on swapping the redtop in the future. But how will we go about keeping the celica alive and running for many years to come like the ae86. I mean the aftermarket support for the celica is half of what honda civic and integra's have.
I was thinking that once I do my swap about buying about 2 engine gasket sets, so I can keep on rebuliding the engine every 150,000 miles. Of course a few years from now I will have another daily driver and the celica will be my weekend/fun car only, so that I dont put so much wear and tear on it. But what other things can I buy to keep the celica running for another 20 years. uhh water pump, spark, plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, etc... and suspension I plan on getting megan coilovers, and the only wear on those will be the dampers, which you can purchase for $300 for the whole set, uhh what else???

Are you using the RAV4 for DD duty? If not, get rid of it and keep the MR-2 and Celica.

Though I have only had this car for just over a year, I've gone through a lot with her already. Only my second car, but I treat her as my first cause my first car only lasted about 5 months...
I've been into an accident with the celi and did an a2m swap. It may not seem like much, but to me it is because this is the first car I've actually worked on. Since I bought her, I put about 3 grand into her (not directly cause of parts cars), but I have also made about half my money back after parting out the parts car. But from what I have done so far, and with her being my car for the next 4 years for college, she won't be going anywhere.
