im doing full resto, it could have been sanblasted, but the surface was so badly pitted. Im having nightmares, because i have two ways of approaching this.
the hardest way will be to get this... which i have...

To restore a car and be period correct means either 2tg or. 18rg. A supra engine does not belong there. I'm a purist when it comes to the engine in this car in particular.

He never said anything about the Supra engine, he said to use the 1UZ.
I get the whole originality thing, and I wouldn't mind having one original. You're doing a good job and doing right by the car. If I ever find the liftback version I'll resto-mod it and we can do a meet.
