2001 Miata LS 5-speed
Alright the celica is reassembled. Need to tie up a lot of loose ends on the car before STPR which is a national rally in north central PA. June 1st/2nd.
Looks a little plain right now, but once i get some event stickers on there itll help.
Also working on the Rx7. I had to chop up and redo the piping to the turbo. I changed exhaust housing to a bigger AR ratio. The old housing was on-center, the new one is tangential. So the physical location changed.
I also gave myself more room this time so I end up running 3.5" exhaust the entire way back, instead of 3" for a bit, then stepping it up to 3.5". 3.5" is the biggest I can fit. 4" would probably be ideal for max power.

Got the Rx7 tuned today. Final tune numbers were 725rwhp/760rwtq on 93 octane., 21 psi. Video was the first pull that was cut short due to some knocking, but its the only vid I have.

Once again this was an initial pull, not final tune.
Now I need to get busy on the celica to get ready for STPR.

Rally setup looks cherry as usual. 
I just noticed, 213whp @ 3.4 PSI...mishap with the run?

Haha @2800 rpms. What's sad is the car makes more power than my 'race' car at 2300 rpms.
We were tuning it, wasn't just a dyno run. Had to add a lot of fuel and was noticeable with just the intial surge.

Took it easy the first day, Second day I started off slow and was finally starting to get the feeling back on how to drive on dirt, then the engine decided to crap out a little. Sputtering over 5000 rpms.

so what kind of reactions do you get from other people at these stages when they see a celica?
I get a lot of people asking about the AWD, since i'm the only non-subaru in my class.
There is one guy that comes to STPR every year. He's from the UK judging by his accent. He knows his stuff about celicas. Probably the only guy in the US that has a sequential dogbox in his celica. He's buying another one and asked if I want to buy his old one. I'd love it, but the cost just isn't worth it to me.

Umm, probably in the 80's. Fastest I got to in that rally was 95, fastest i've been in any rally was 105.
105 on dirt with trees flying by and a sharp turn at the end of a straight is a little scary.

I just got back from korea sunday after 5 weeks... so i'm kinda sick and all screwed up on time. I still have to install the hydraulic handbrake, rebuild the exhaust (I snapped it in half last race), swap over all of the igntion stuff.
Leaving thursday night, have to work tomorrow, so I'm going to be busy here soon. Hopefully i'll remember to snap some pics.
