>That looks great Jess - 2 things, and I'm sure you've mentioned the one already in this build somewhere, but

(1) How did you get your 7th Gen Seats mounted?
(2) It's kind of hard to tell from the pics, but how did you modify the rail in the back to make it mount lower? Being 6' 6" - I'm very interested in this... although I don't have a sunroof on my GT-S so its not that big of a deal I guess... tongue.gif

Hopefully this helps with the 7th gen questions

biggrin.gif better pics.. of lowering

The brackets are smaller than before. I tried my best to put some support on the bottom sides, hard to see in the photos but they are strong.

my st205 swapandour Beams swap
That's what you get for being tall and not 5'10" like me. Who's laughing now? laugh.gif Good job though. May have to do that on the passenger side, my brother is on the tall side and I have the sunroof.

Better pic of the deflector, I love this thing

Is that a vinyl decal on the rain shield or were you one of the lucky ones to get the TRD etched ones?

vinyl, but when I get my car repainted, I'm going to do that in the same red
So did you end up getting different seat brackets to mount your 7th gen seats??

I had to get 96+ seat brackets, foam and seat pan to mount my 7th gens.. wasn't bad since I got all of that off a member here for cheap

I don't have any factory amps in my car anymore so there is nothing under the seat tongue.gif
Well done on the seats thumbsup.gif I have spare '98 seats and a 7th gen that might be going for scrap soon. If I didn't have SS-III seats then I would be tempted.

no flight today so I got some more done..

PROGRESS:
-Figured out wiring for power fold mirrors
-Worked on the gas cap relocation body work

Fooled around with my power fold mirror's I've had for years and haven't gotten around to installing.. mock wired them up, just gotta install them now

Also got some work done on the gas cap relocation..

The wiring for the mirrors is straight forward, but the hardest part is just running those two extra wires through the door harness, all the way across the car, and back through the other door harness lol
Got a new rear quarter to weld in when I feel brave enough and also worked on my sound system a bit..

8in Kicker Comp subs in the doors

blown stock speaker

You have the premium sound system but, do you know if all the celicas come with the bracket for the 8in speaker? I want to do this exact same (putting kicker subs in there) once I'm done with the rest of the car.

Looking forward to seeing the results on the rear quarter piece. I'm suffering from rust in the same area.

the bracket itself is the same IIRC for all the cars, its the individual speaker that is a different size.
Progress:

berk downpipe came in as well as my new surface for the fidanza flywheel. Just waiting on my clutch from clutchmasters and then the engine is going in..

fixed the threads for the DP and bolted it on. Berk Tech really has an amazing product, worth every single penny!

got the accessories back on there, now time to pull my motor.

This is the DP I want for mine. It looks great! Is this the 2nd or 3rd version? Do you think it wouldbe worth it to get the ceramic powdercoated version?

This post has been edited by dudeofchaos: Jul 6, 2012 - 6:40 PM
Its the 3rd gen version, the powder coated one looks nice as well and isn't much more expensive, probably worth getting that one since it will keep some heat in better than the plain stainless..

Progress: pictures say it all..

I also cut off the battery tray, the bat is going in the trunk

oh yea, I also deleted the ABS, you will notice I am running the non abs lines and booster now.

Where are you going to run your wire harness through? The normal port where the 5S harness goes, or are you going to punch a hole in on the driverside-ish?

The motor I got was already swapped into a celica so the harness was already extended to go through the stock 5S spot, so I'll just run it through the same spot. biggrin.gif
