UPDATE:Well, nothing much because I've been dealing with Freelica for a while since I'm still waiting on random BEAMS parts to come in.
Got myself a stock airbox, b pipe, extra coils, O2 sensor from a member in NZ so those are checked off the list.
Still waiting for that UPS guy from Colorado to drop off the rest of the stuff and I'll be able to get started. Tracking says he'll be in Wisconsin this weekend so hopefully he doesn't get lost or delayed.
In the mean time, I can finally be a poser!

My garage is getting packed. There's 3 engines (including the one in the engine bay) and 2 trannies, as well as a mess of misc parts and pieces all over.
sorry for the crappy pics. it was super bright and sunny out and my phone is more of a potato than an actual device so it does not do well with lighting of any kind.
FEDEX guy came but totally didn't leave the engine in the engine bay with the wiring hooked up like I had requested. Just left it hanging on the hoist. They're gonna hear from me.
so now I'm tasked with taking all parts I want from the redtop and transferring it over to the greytop as well as degreasing and cleaning it up.
found out that my VVT solenoid is busted so I'll have to switch that over.
I'll have to get my checklist when I get home and see what parts I have left to find. Should 95% there I think.

luckily it was easy enough to pop them both out and swap it over instead of spending $100 or so on a new one.

Had a relaxing and productive time this past weekend.
Finally got out and did some fishing with the wifey. Spent 2 hours out there just enjoying the day. Weather was perfect... for fish anyways. got poured on for about 10 minutes and then it let up to light drizzle and eventually stopped.
Here's a picture of my catch of the day, not bad seeing that we haven't gone fishing in about 5 years. I still got it. lol
afterwards, came back home and spent the day in the garage refreshing and degreasing the greytop.
FEDEX guy sent me the 2nd part of my shipment.
changed out the water pump & timing belt.
timing belt cover, alternator, & ac condensor back on.

- axle carrier bearing bracket
- GT radiator
- GT radiator hoses & various other engine hoses
- Power steering compenents? (I think I need the GT ones)
- gotta double check the engine mounts and see which ones I have/need still
- GT throttle cable? Does the ST one work?

i think the 5s PS is vacuum assisted in some way and the 3sge is controlled by the ecu

I think it's vacuumed switched, unlike most cars that have a electronic pressure switch.

yeah, definitely. I was gonna grab parts from the junkyards here but they all overcharge for little things and I've only ever found one GT there. the rest were STs. lol
as long as the parts are in good running condition I'll take them.
I gotta check the AC lines and see if any of the ST stuff is usable too.

Read through one of Dr Tweak's 7a->3s swap threads and he said the AC lines do work with a bit of bending so I'll try that.

That engine hoist in the pics is borrowed from my brother-in-law because the one I ordered didn't arrive in time for Daniel to drop off the redtop.
Never ever deal with Road Runner Freight. They not only told me my shipment was going to an Erin in Minnesota? (who the f*ck is Erin?) but had the audacity to pawn off the shipment to a different company after I yelled at them on the phone to give me my **** and was put on hold for 20 minutes (and promptly hung up on). Turns out they even gave the new transport company the wrong phone number too. so after a week and a half, they finally get a hold of me and dropped it off. Thank god, I borrowed that one from my BIL.
and I know that Daniel is half man, half bear but I would've felt bad if he had to drag the redtop out of the back of his 4runner by hand.
Long story short, Road Runner Freight sucks male hooker's buttholes.

I hope so too. but with me helping my wife in her photography, August for some reason is our busiest month. We're booked every weekend that month. I only get a few hours after work each day to work on this. I don't wanna rush it either so we'll see how it goes.
