Actual picture of me, but they caught me at a rare time without a cookie in my hand.

Wait a minute, you can't have three halves...

Between my 4 cars, I have a plethora of parts laying everywhere. My basement's filling up quick and this pic only shows about a 1/3 of it... it'll be fun putting everything back together.

realized, I never got a shot of the inside of the greytop. It's been a really clean engine so far, I'm happily surprised.

still have to get the flywheel resurfaced.

sprayed hi-temp coating on the header and heat shield.

took everything I could from the redtop. Now I have a VERY heavy paper weight.

the greytop finally got buttoned up and almost ready (aside from the flywheel/trans)
.

lookin' pretty sweet. Can't wait to see it in the engine bay.

Since there isn't much more to do on the greytop. I finally got a few hours in this weekend between birthday parties and shooting a wedding to take out the interior and engine bay.

a shot of me sitting on the floor of the car (uncomfortably), tools everywhere and center console all apart.

that damn horseshoe clip on the auto shifter cable was a bitch to get off. It's about 2 time the size of the manual ones. Had to go at it with a vice grip and my spaghetti arms to get it off.

hood off, getting ready to drain fluids and undo the harness.

auto trans fluid. Yeah, I never really bothered to change it since I was hoping to either blow it up or swap to manual sooner or later.

radiator out and started on the harness

so harness is unplugged, fluids drained, radiator out, header out, alternator out.
all that's left is the ac condensor, check the auto trans for whatever plugs are left, and then have at the mounts and pull the engine.
had to stop last night because it was getting late and I have this thing called work the next morning. Also, we've been getting hit with winds and thunderstorms lately so I went in before it got too bad.

It's been a slow progress but I'm in no hurry, I wanna do it right. Not sure if I can button up everything before the 6gc meet but it's looking more and more unlikely. Besides, I'd want to drive it a week or so to figure out all the kinks first. Don't want to go on long trip with a fresh swap until I'm sure it'll make it.

Clearly Cheela doesn't YOLO with that kind of attitude.

I've done enough YOLOing back in the days. I'm an old man now. Can't keep up with you youngsters no more.
Although occasionally, sometimes I do something wild like put my drink down on the table without a coaster! *gasp* I know... wink.gif

Ify even tho you probably know you can unbolt the ac compressor and let it hang on the floor close to where the radiator sat so you dont have to worry about your ac unless you got other plans
It's because you've lost your YOLO. #CheelaGetsHisYOLOBack

Does the 7afe compressor fit onthe BEAMS? I wasn't sure. but I will let it hang and pull the 7a. I'd much rather not have to open up the AC system if I didn't have to.

#Poser

You'll probably need a 5S compressor. Racecar in the midwest don't need AC anyways.

According to the part number, itΒ’s the same compressor. Leave that sucker hooked up.

Good thing I didn't disconnect it yet.

Surprised you don't have one of these laying around.

bish!!! of course I got those, I'm Asian. I got some cheap paper ones and some fancy ones. but unless you're willing to sit in the passenger side and fan my crotch, Idk how that will help me?

The crotch vent is the best part of the Celica, especially when you wear un-bifurcated clothing.

Project stage: Hover mode

A bit of progress. power steering lines removed. heater hoses removed. wheels are off, axles nuts, and brakes, calipers etc off.
Front engine mount is out. Working on the rear (fun....). Passenger side axle came out easy as usual. Still working on the driver's side.

But once I pull the axle and loosen all mounts, I'll be able to pull the 7afe out. Still waiting on brackets and a few parts from Chris so that's why I'm going slow. That, and it's been hard to find free time to be in the garage. September should be better though.

I've decided that I'm just going to pull the axle and give that to you. I'm too lazy to separate the bearing from the whole assembly lol

~bloodMoney
hahaha. all good. You're not shipping it anymore anyways.

Drop the whole subframe and engine from underneath...
