Since there isn't much more to do on the greytop. I finally got a few hours in this weekend between birthday parties and shooting a wedding to take out the interior and engine bay.
a shot of me sitting on the floor of the car (uncomfortably), tools everywhere and center console all apart.

that damn horseshoe clip on the auto shifter cable was a bitch to get off. It's about 2 time the size of the manual ones. Had to go at it with a vice grip and my spaghetti arms to get it off.

hood off, getting ready to drain fluids and undo the harness.

auto trans fluid. Yeah, I never really bothered to change it since I was hoping to either blow it up or swap to manual sooner or later.

radiator out and started on the harness

so harness is unplugged, fluids drained, radiator out, header out, alternator out.
all that's left is the ac condensor, check the auto trans for whatever plugs are left, and then have at the mounts and pull the engine.
had to stop last night because it was getting late and I have this thing called work the next morning. Also, we've been getting hit with winds and thunderstorms lately so I went in before it got too bad.
It's been a slow progress but I'm in no hurry, I wanna do it right. Not sure if I can button up everything before the 6gc meet but it's looking more and more unlikely. Besides, I'd want to drive it a week or so to figure out all the kinks first. Don't want to go on long trip with a fresh swap until I'm sure it'll make it.
