That's the plan
Drive it an start saving back for brake upgrades
Like most of you know already the modding on this will be slowing way down now that my swap is running desent because I'm going to try an get lizs crv paid off an buy me a new daily
And I've had 3 cars in mind but I keep coming back to the same problem
I really want another Toyota. Witch leave me with 2 option a 7gc or frs
And since the frs is about 12k more than I really wanna spend I'm probablygonna look into a 04+ Gts
Or maybe ( big big maybe ) a corolla
But still haven't ruled out the other 3 non yotas

Go with the 03 and 04 GT-S. Has the higher RPM limit and the lift bolt issue with the 2ZZ-GE was resolved.
2001 Miata LS 5-speed
the 7th gens are easy on gas... but an 03 corolla S would be BALLER.
Also if you are even seriously considering selling a few of your 20+ cars.... and you're looking for a "new" car
I would personally own nothing else but a new ford focus.... might consider a new Mazda 3. How do you argue with 40mpg? lol my .02
If I were buying a new car that got 40 mpg it'd be this:

hyundai's are tough right now real tough...
But I just don't know how they would handle in comparison... as the other two have handling sport coupe's in mind still lol
Box - those are the years I've been looking at cuz I like the styling changes on top of what you already said
Trace- I have no plans to sell any of them. That's why I'm not looking at a brand new car
But I am open to ideas in the 7-12k range
Just has to have a manual option an fun to drive
Saving gas is good but not when it bores you to death
Friends don't let friends rock a Hyundai
Didn't Han teach you anything lol

I'd say this would count as having a handling sport coupe in mind.

7-12K range you say. Hmm, you're almost into C5 Vette territory.

Now just another day to put the new one in.
2001 Miata LS 5-speed
The new one shouldn't take as long
I spent half the day fighting one bolt that was directly above the exhaust
Well finally gave up an cut the front tube off the exhaust an dropped the pan

Oil pan is done!!!!
Doing the axle in a few an welded the exhaust back together already too
But its going to take a trip to an exhaust shop to get finish welded tho
Now but after axles in she just needs fluids in the am
Giving the sealant the night to cure

You sure you don't need anything off this coupe? i mean ANY interior piece. Seat belts etc? tail light? head lights? got some good ones! lol - stock mud flaps if I don't use them? haha
It's all going to the trash next week lol
Rear speakers an those mudflaps lol
How good are the door panels?

glad you got it back on the road. I discovered that the 1MZ and celica use the exact same AC compressor. just the pulley and the hose fittings are different. i swapped the pulley and then saw that the alternator hits the hard lines coming off the compressor. so ill still need some modifications.

Why not through forever?
2001 Miata LS 5-speed
Small tear down to upgrade a few things an maybe do a light rebuild on the motor
(Or new 1mz altogether lol )
I have no plans of driving her in winter so if she's apart it keeps me from doing something stupid

Don't you know you drive cars until they break?

What's wrong with the 1MZ that's in it?
That's ok, because of you and some others I'm thinking about trying to find a manual V6 Solara or Camry that was rear ended.
2001 Miata LS 5-speed
Nothings wrong with it but it I can find one with less miles ill pick it up
Pull this 1mz out an build a better one lol
Sweet
Good luck man hopefully you'll find a 5speed lol
