Won't your car just shatter if you ever get into an accident?

weeellll lets hope i dont get into an accident lol naahhh right now the car is gonna be down indeffinetly until i swap in the new engine(spun rod bearing ) an yes the it had crossed my mind and im putting some thght into strengthening the finished product i have a cupple rolls of kevlar an about 6 yards of carbon fibr to play with as well but who knows accidents tend to be pretty unforgiving as far as custom cars go or any for that matter.
Not to be an ass or anything but I'm guessing this is now going to be a MR-Celica right? lol

surgery got pushed back to the 6th so ill be working on this again this week
more pics to come people almost able to walk again lol
Cant wait to see the end man, and get better soon

I just bought my supra headlights, and debating between 2 different bumpers. Maybe ill post them up and get some feed back. But i will be able to work on my car in a couple months smile.gif and create my science project tongue.gif

I've spilt my heart into this car :) And I don't ever plan to stop- 6GC for Life ->Semper Fi<1994 Cupra :p 3sgte1995 Celica ST DD1969 Chevelle SSalllll balls. P2 approved!
Ok walking again still painful but doable. so I started getting ready for fiberglass ing tonight an will have updates in about a week or two as money is a bit of an issue at this point in time since I've been on leave from work .so when money is coming back in I'll be finishing the project an making more progress again.

Will start fiberglass by tomorrow after more prep work.

Ok I'm thinking about cutting the bumper in half where the blue stops and having the bottom section stationary for easier. Removal since all that is taped up will be one complete piece plus makes it easier when separating parts later
Or option two front end and hood an fenders all one complete piece but makes the process a lot harder to do. What do you guys think ?

I am also thinking about changing the side skirts and rerouting the exhaust to come out through the bottom section of the side skirt since the engine swap we are doing is a v 6 but not a major fan of that style

Or should I leave these side skirts on there????

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. Im alive, better post your questions in the thread below, maybe I log back in2grfe Swapped...Why I chose the 2GR, before you ask read here...A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.@llamaraxing in Instagram is the best way to find me. I hardly log here anymore.
the purpose of the hole in the fender is to let hot air flow out, not cold air flow in....
looking good smile.gif
yezz sir and thanks... not so much negative feedback with the project im pleasantly surprised lol
Looks interesting.

My only negative...is doing that to a GT4 hood...could have put some good use to that, and you could have fabbed something unique instead.
actually yes im planing on doing a different hood an possibly selling ths completed gt4 molded piece later on down the line but not at this point im not sure if im gonna have to change the design because of the engine swap were doing or not thats gonna be a deciding facter here but ive got a really cool design im working on though ill show you guys when im at that point though
cant wait to see a new design idea, especially some new hood ideas. Ive been drawing up some hood ideas of my own, just not 100% yet on any.
And may sound dumb but what happens to the rain water in the top of a gt4 hood? does it just fall on the engine?lol seems kinda dumb
Cause i got some ideas but the water is the only problem im still wondering about

lol no it has a duct built into it to rout the water out from falliong on the engine an yeah its lotus elise ish hood i was working on lol looks good on paper but we will see ;P

I actually hate bodykits and all things fiberglass, but that is one badass looking car.

You should totally paint it like a stealth jet, And how wide of a wheel will you be able to run?
looks like something out of death race! pretty awesome man!
Thanks guys much appreciated glad you like the style of over fenders well wheel size is gonna be a considerable difference I've gotta finish my engine swap first thgh which is also a rear wheel drive conversion that's all I'm saying till it's done lol I just decided to finish the body first thgh before anything else.
