Well of course they were blown, stock shocks weren't made to handle lowering tongue.gif I'd recommend different shocks if you're still on stock ones

So, spent most of today trying to figure out my next move for the GT4 front end...
If I go full GT4 bumper and Hood, I cannot find a lip that will then flow with the Veilside skirts...
The best looking lip IMO would be the C-ONE lip, but it wouldn't flow with the skirts at all...
And to go for a PreFace Hybrid, I would have to ruin my GT4 bumper and would be a lot of mucking around (But, I could then put my SSIII spats back on)...
Preface Hybrid Bumper:

Unfortunately I do not have the skill with fibreglass or bog to attempt a Hybrid bumper by myself and I don't even know where to start with a shop that could do it...

I agree with everyone that the hybrid bumper would look wicked. Make it happen!

Thanks guys, gonna have my work cutout for me to bring this thought into reality...
First step will be selling off my Black GT4 bonnet and bumper locally, and then importing half the bumper alone, will end up being cheaper that way, and I am not ruining a mint bumper.

I don't have the cash atm to attempt it since I bought a GoPro and insurance was this week... But this gives me time to think about how to do this haha

Well, been a good time since an update... I am now rolling around on BC V1 coilovers and have installed my TOMS performance braided brake lines and ST205 Rear Strut Brace. Other than that, everything is the same.

I also met up with Former 6GC owner Timmyface at a Car Meet at Sydney Olympic Park and he got these mad shots of our group of cars (My 6gc, His WRX and a friends 5GC), he also brought me down a space saver spare tyre so I can sell my old 15's as a complete set.

And a few other photos from other people:

So, started working today and left it here... As you can see I don't have much working space...

http://www.6gc.net/forums/style_images/1/f...-emo-button.png
State of the interior:

And the state of the stock speakers:

Work today included removing the front speakers, removing the adapters from the speaker and lining up the new 6.5" speakers.
I also removed the rear speakers and are working on the tweeters as we speak, I also managed to get my Vincent_Doggy Hand-Brake boot on! smile.gif

Tomorrow my mate is coming around and we are making the 6.5-8" adapters for the speakers and installing them to the car! Meant to have 100+mm of rain coming too so looks like the workspace will remain cramped frown.gif

They do look good, like the pre facelift version. If you look on my project thread there are instructions on how to make a hybrid front bumper, it is pretty easy, get the cutting right, the rest is easy.

I do not have the tools to even cut a bumper properly... Nor do I have the time or skill to put two together:(

My only option is to get someone else to do it, or scratch the idea...

So today I replaced all the speakers in the car and also put a new sub box in so I now also have a sub... wooh!

Started with a work area:

Cut out some wood and painted in black for the 8" - 6.5" adapter for the fronts.

Then while the paint dried we used araldite to stick the Tweeters to the stock brackets:

Since it is a crappy cold and wet day, we had some Kebabs for lunch as the glue and paint dried.

As we started testing the speakers and tweeters in the front this chilled guy appeared, he started watching us and we gave him some food.

Came all the way into the garage too...

Also decided to sound deaden the back of the front speakers, and Sikaflex the wood to the plastic:

Got started on the rear of the car... Other that the annoying trim removal, the rear is way easier... No adapters needed:

As we were tidying up, my friend arrived and brought me a new (old) sub box and sub to play with. I removed the Sony one from the box, and put my Soundstream in. (My box doesn't fit under the strut bar). We wired her up and put it in the boot, firing upwards as the sub wont fit any other way. Speakers sound mad now, sub is also way deeper and no rattling like the last box.
Will get better photos later once the door cards are back in, next job is finding a decent drivers door card and putting the vincent_doggy leather on it wink.gif

So, got my door cards back today. Looking mad.
We got hit with a torrential downpour, so gonna have to delay install until it passes (Meant to pass on saturday).

Also got a few pieces coming from The_enD, eagerly awaiting that!

And finally, found myself on google street view, only took two years since last year I was either working or at tafe when they passed lol:

Lol funny thing about spiders as I was just telling Ryan today,

I got in the car yesterday to find my drivers side air vent full of cob webs and flashed a light inside the vent and saw like 3 spiders in there so I promptly took the vent out and threw it away..
Not touching it again

Ill get a new one from a car yard but no way will I attempt to clean that, for now just gonna drive around without a vent

Got my package from The_enD. The rear license plate bezel was installed straight away!
Before:

After:

Unfortunately, and this is no fault of The_enD, but the Cluster Bezel broke a tab during transit... It actually appears that in transit something very heavy was put on top of my package, and caused a slight bend in the boxes... Anyway, such is life. I will have to do some modification to repair the tab or find a way to mount without it, but either way my goal is to have it on this weekend.
