Im down. Let me know when and where so I can request that day off.. tip. U still got the same number??
I think it's about time we find a set date. July was the month we chose and July is already in a couple weeks. I say let's choose a date from July 22nd - August 3rd the latest.

If those are the only selected dates, I would have to vote for July 28th.

+1 for july 28th
Ok looks like everyone is cool with JULY 28th. So I guess whats left is Time - Location - and what to bring...
I'd say Saratoga as rendezvous point, head to a beach, BBQ and chill? Don't take my word though because I am unfamiliar with the bay area. Lol.

I agree, unles you guys dont want to do any canyon driving. We can go straight to Santa Cruz.

Anybody in here more familiar with Santa Cruz beach area?

Newcelica group had a BBQ meet at Manresa State Beach:
Sand Dollar Drive
Watsonville, CA 95076

I've never been there and also i think there is a 10 fee to park
Just throwing something out there

That is about 20 miles from Santa Cruz. I don't think it is too far and it might not be as crowded as Santa Cruz.

Good pick!

Any other suggestions?

+1, it shouldn't be so crowded since its not close to Santa Cruz. Im fine with any spot. As long as my car can make it through the driveways and ECT. Im planning on slamming my car for this event if Im not lazy. wink.gif

I may be able to do the 28th. My girlfriend is off sundays and mondays so it would be nice to travel somewhere other than socal. Shes a really good photographer too so if we do attend we can get some good pictures. Were going to be coming from San Diego. I will need to know the meet times and all so we can plan our long drive up accordingly. Ill talk to her about this today and let you guys know. This will be my first 6gc meet too.
I used to live in monterey and thats not that far at all.

You should just head out there the day before and spend the day at monterey & santa cruz, im sure you two will enjoy a mini vaca. Then you would'nt be too tired the day of the meet. Thats what i did when i went to toyotafest in LA this year :-)
It sucks having to drive I-5 for a car meet. You'll wash your car all pretty before you leave and arrive with hundred of bugs all over the front kindasad.gif

I totally agree. Long drives are tiring, better to get fully rested and do some sight seeing with your girl. Once a month I drive 7hrs then go straight to work, I am used to it but I still get tired once in a while.

Just last week I drove from ohio to the bay area stopping only for gas and food. It was 2,500 miles and took 37 and a half hours. Now I feel that driving to so-cal and back is doable in one day without getting too tired laugh.gif
