I should have kept it... I tried to roll the rear fenders a bit and it fell apart in my hands. The previous owner got the rusty fenders "rebuilt" with bondo and I opened up a CAN OF WORMS. I had to tear out the rest of the rust and then LITERALLY build the lip of the rear fender with nothing but bondo. It looked pretty legit. I sold it like a week later. Haha!

I just wanted to make it someone else's problem. I should have kept it, cut it out and welded in a new section (I almost did that)...

Oh well... I'm hoping to get an MKIII MR2 in the near future and swapping a 2ZZ in it, maybe a 2GR.

BUT!... a V8 7th gen Celica WILL happen before I die, haha!

nah i understand. but yeah looking back now, you should've cut the fenders and welded in metal flares. hehe.

MKIIIs are pretty cheap these days since no one really likes them compared to the MKIIs. that thing would fly with a 2gr!

v8 better a 1uzfe then. I want to 1uz EVERYTHING!

Haha!! Yeah, they are pretty "girly", but are a blast!

I think a 2GR would be practical and fun as hell!

As for the V8, I want to go with a 3UR (5.7 Tundra)...

It's one of those things (selling it/ getting rid of it) you wish you never did but you're glad you did. At the time I never drove it enough to justify keeping it.

Although it still brings a tear to my eye when I think about it.

I'm seeing 61 degrees and a 30% chance of rain next weekend. Should hopefully be decent weather.

So I learned this morning that Johnson Control makes pretty much all car batteries, so a cheap EverStart from Walmart is just fine. The only difference is between warranties. Cool!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that was pretty cool.

Got my gauc stuff, except the serrano peppers. I'm going to make two batches, one very hot and one not so very hot. I have this strong desire to top a hotdog with gauc right now, a guacdog.

Does anyone have a decent sized tarp(s) they can bring? We could nail it up to the shelter to block out the wind? The forecast says that it's supposed to be 20 MPH winds from the NE (river side), so the trees won't be blocking much...

Cool. Thanks! I just think that the cool breeze off of the river would be annoying after a while. I'll bring some nails and hammer, I can tap them in at an angle in the metal eyes so we don't put holes in the tarp. I'd bring a tarp, but I don't have one (on my shopping list).

Does it have side(s)? That could be useful for sticking the grill under so that **** isn't blowing around. I'm just thinking of everything before we're there and we think "we should have...". Haha!

I am, but I'm actually not coming any longer... Sorry guys. Our baby sitter fell through and it's too cold for me to bring the little one for a long period of time...

We used my truck & some blanket thing Chris/ Stacy had when we had the one meet at the rained out 24hours of Lemons a few years back.
