And thats it! For a car thats been totalled once, and is about to hit the big 100,000 mile count, my car runs as if there were no such thing as wear n' tear on an engie, and it runs as if its never been wrecked... I was pretty damn lucky to find such a car... And I've been happy ever since... Although I am sad my car is gonna flip to 100,000 miles... Its got another 110 miles to go before it switches ove

lol Don't worry Im about to hit 163,000 >wink.gif>

Buy my Celica $2,500 -http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0
Other than being temporarily torn apart, my car has touched-up key marks in the paint and slightly-mismatched paint on areas on the rear of the car. >frown.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
1). Both bumpers are chipping
2). Theres a spider that made a home behind my passenger side rear view mirror that I cant get rid of
3). Needs new belts all around
4). Climate control panel is messed up
5). big ol dent in driver side fender
1. Roof needs painted
2. Small oil leak
3. Trunk shocks busted

My car is in good shape, and I'm happy to have a reliable means of transportation.

Live Free, Be Happy
Not many problems to speak of. I could probably run my car for at least another 50-60,000 miles+ without having to replace anything to serious. I'm totally in love with Toyota quality and efficiency. >biggrin.gif>

Only things I would like to fix-
- New paint and doors so that everything is 100% perfect and rust free.
- Stop the very very slight drip of oil that developed from the oil drain bolt after I changed the oil and lost the O-ring that goes inside the washer....*doh*....not hard to fix at all though.
- Borrow a 24mm socket so I can change my transmission fluid.
- Get an Optima battery so that my one amp doesnt pop from turning on and off from lower voltage.
- Find out what the buzzing sound is from my back left tire....Although I dont think its anything serious or costly.
- Boost >smile.gif>

Oh and by the way, if anybody wants a smoother running engine, do what I did and start using Mobil 1 Synthetic. Amazing stuff, and although I was skeptical it would make a difference its like night and day now that I've driven for about 4 days with it in.

It's most likely not the battery, but the fact that your amp doesn't have a soft-turn-on.

New Toyota project coming soon...
Yeah Coomer, the amp used to pop everytime I turned it on, but that has subsided since I put it in. It's an MA Audio amp, and I dont exactly think they engineer them to turn on/off very smoothly. >rolleyes.gif>
Now the problem is that while its operating at high or even at low volumes, it very occasionally pops the speakers like the power was interrupted, which is what it seems to do, then the speakers kick back on again. Sometimes the volume of my amps varies noticably too....I know its hard to diagnose without seeing it, but I'm confident that this is the problem.

I figured it was a battery shortcoming simply because its an old battery that I've been using for the past 3 years I've owned the car and even longer since the previous owner had used it for a while...unless you think it could be something else. Any ideas?

Well, these lists seem kind of long, but most things seem to be more "wear and tear" - most have no major mechanical problems. My list:

Minor stuff, thankfully! I love her. >biggrin.gif>

3- passenger hi beam rusted
4- center console cracked

6- rear defroster doesn't work
Got a few more problems now... >frown.gif>

his isnt a proble with the car, bt it kinda is I guess... But my Body Kit's back bumper needs a ton of modification just to fit...
