4 including you or 4 without your pair?

Cuz for me actually its not a big diggie... I can make this happen if 4 sets only will need to be done.... Let me know Jay.

It will add about $50 per set...assuming Romas is willing to make them at all.  Let me know what you guys want to do and Romas can weigh in if he still wants to do this for only a group buy of 4.

awww man!! that really sucks... so how much will we end up paying now if this still goes thru? like the total?
Jay,

Did anything ever come of the VAT tax refund? If we could get that, it would help offset the extra cost.

Also some people may think that this has already gone through. Could you modify the title and first post to attract new buyers. Add something like STILL AVAILABLE, and a brief summary of what is going on and a pricing summary to show how prices will be reduced if we get more people involved.

Just some ideas

I emailed the vendor about the VAT tax refund yesterday and got a reply that he ordered the form and it never came so now he has to order a new one. We will see what happens on that front.

I will change the title as you have suggested. Its a good idea. However, this thread has been near the top of the For Sale forum for a few months so I wouldn't hold out too much hope.

Really, this comes down to Romas and his willingness to do the group buy at 4. He previously indicated that we could "get started" with 4 but that was early on and I don't know if he feels the same if we only have a total of 4. Also, there may be some shipping savings by shipping only 4 sets rather than 5. He estimated the shipping cost for 5 sets at $400 from Lithuania to the U.S. Perhaps Romas can let us know if there are any additional shipping costs.

As for the final price of the skirts with 4 people, I think my prior estimate was a bit high. Assuming we could save $50 on shipping to the U.S., another $100 on shipping to Manny, the extra costs are really only about $20 for each of us. Of course, there is already the $20 surcharge for the VAT tax. I estimate the new cost at about $475 per set but that could change $25 either way. If we get the VAT tax refund, thats $20 off per set.

Romas, we are at a total of 4 people. So, it would the set we buy plus three that you make.

Well........ 3 sets are a bit problematic.... Cuz - mold construction cost nearly the same as 2 pairs of skirts sale. And im not including all the transportation fees (from UK to Me) and all the packing stuff, delivery stuff to shipping place.... this would leave me nearly on 0$ after everything is done...

As for the shipping charge - lets say it is still 400$ cuz after i find out the exact dimensions it might chance to the lower side >wink.gif> So better to be safe and keep the price on 400$.

I am keeping this group buy open until November 3. If we do not have at least one more person by that time, the group buy will be cancelled and the deposits returned.

My sideskirts fit like crap. Would someone get to keep the original urethane sideskirts? Because if I could get the urethane set then I might be up for spending the money to have a perfect-fitting and better-looking set of sideskirts.

New Toyota project coming soon...

The "original" is fiberglass as well. But, you could have that set if you jumped in the group buy. Shoot, I would even agree to take detailed pics of all 5 sets and let you have the first pic of any of the sets.

I told you they were a b!tch Coomer, but with work they fit perfectly, I promise... that's what the shop told me atleast. lol
Coom, you should have joined this a long time ago instead of getting crappy skirts... now you have to pay 2X.....

Anyway, if you gonna change your mind, as long as i feel like i own you for helping mke out with some stuff, and as long as other people donated you money and stuff then you needed it to keep the site running, i would love to make you pair of these skirts for the cheapest i can go just to make you happier, and to say Thanks in some way... Just think about it >wink.gif>

Someone should PM Batman, Jdog, and wannabe. Those guys expressed interest but could not commit at the time. Perhaps there were thinking that they could get them later. Maybe if they knew that the skirts will not be made if one or more persons don't commit now, they might change their mind.

Sorry guys. I've been watching this thread closely but I just can't do it right now. Trust me, I really wish I could.

EDIT: LOL I just remembered I've got about $1200 dollars in a savings/Life insurance thing I've been paying into for the past 5 years. I think I'll cash that in since I switched to a term life insurance policy... I'll get back to you all as soon as I find out more. I've gotta call my agent.

Sounds like a terrific way to spend the cash value of a life insurance policy! You can't enjoy it when you're gone...

I have PMed them with a link to this thread, we will see what happens.
I have one request for these skirts. Romas could you ingrave DCW to the top rear corners of each side of the skirts ? Something like a half inch high, one inch long.

Kinda of like the Talon ingraving on Manny's side skirts.

Thanks
DEF

I will return one day.
Doggy,

Since you've sold your celica, what are you going to test fit these on?

Jay, i found one person localy who is intrested... so i do think we can start on this as soon as posible. So your desidion, you could leave the GB open till the manufacturing time (till we build a mold) and if some other people will jump it it wount be a problem for me to make more pairs.

Just letting you know.

fine. However, without another person making a deposit, I am short on funds to buy these. I am willing to front the money but I need a personal guarantee in the form of a post in this thread that you guys will not back out on me. Please post it up and I will send the money in.

P.S. People involved in this group buy, you will NOT get your money if we buy the initial set of skirts and you later want to back out. I am just making that perfectly clear.

That's good news. Now my bad news isn't a deal breaker. The penalty for cashing in my life insurance policy this soon was way too high. Damnit!
