Now thats what I call fried chicken. Thats bomb right there ! thumbsup.gif

I will return one day.
thanks guys.
Yeah I was a little drunk last night and I've been fighting the flu but a night of drinking at Manny's made me feel much better thumbsup.gif

The helper spring is a good idea if I plan on running 19+psi often but I'm not, I'm content with the way it is. There are a few things I should of done better like letting the car/IC cool down a bit more between runs or stepping the boost up little by little for a good comparison of power with psi. Overall I'm wicked happy with the results and I now know I should get WI asap to avoid knock.

I know I could of made more than the 335 to the wheels but it was getting dangerous without WI.

The "Fly Low" Project: 3rd Gen 3SGTE
You guys are putting 6GCs on the map! Nice workk.

That is pretty consistent results, proving what the STOCK GEN3 is capable of, and not some one time random fluke.
I hope more people will realize the real potential and power that the STOCK GEN3 actaully makes.

Its simple, if you are starting fresh and want to swap. Dont bother with the GEN2, you will be highly disappointed. When for the same amount of money you can swap to a GEN3 and make GOBS more power. For those that dont know, and this is first post they read, heres a quick overview. A STOCK GEN2 with intake, exhaust, FCD, ~15psi and WI can make about 240whp. A STOCK GEN3 with intake, exhaust makes 320+whp @ ~18psi. GEN3 FTW

I will return one day.
great work guys! and some real good numbers, i am sad to see jim's last post get washed away, it was very imformative about the difference you can make with WI. not to take away from this awesome swap tho, reading over this all is making me debate more on buying a clip and and droping a gen 3 on ce my car is paid off. but we will see again good work on this!

i hate snow, missing my celica

nik, dynojet software has "correction factors" for getting consistant #'s with NA cars at altitude, ect.
since we are very close to sea level, there is no need to use the SAE correction.

SAE is the most common. However most of the mr2 guys use STD, and some ever argue that you should just post the uncorrected numbers.

You'll make the most power uncorrected, then STD, and then SAE. So if your at like 399hp, and want bragging rights of being over 400, then switch to std or uncorrected.

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
but i dont really care about peak power ...some people do but its more about usable power and at 300whp + in a fwd celica you just get no traction unless your on the highway and higher speed and wanna get around something quick

335 whp w/ ct20b and stock 3rd gen ecu?

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Truly amazing results. It has me scratching my head given the fact that after being available for 14 years, the best ct20b dyno over on mr2oc is 316whp. Do we chalk this result up to intercooling? Any possibility of a chipped ECU or modified stock turbo?
