Im guessing you are suggesting those because you are able to adjust the camber with them?
if not..NO WANT!

ray(yellowchinaman) got another set of the adjustable arms and swapped them with the non adjustable arms...never heard back on how well it went

umm no simply because they are spherical bushings but in OEM FORM, GUY....

You wouldn't be able to adjust camber with them because you also have the lateral arm? I think that's what it's called?
Idk, it's just the one that faces front to back and connects to the rear knuckle. Unless that has a lot of play left and right, you won't be able to adjust the camber much..
thats true! I didnt think of that. well that might pose an issue.
Ive got 6 months to looks into a solution

Took some time this weekend to compare the Ksports and the Teins.

I have some work ahead of me to get these coilovers how I want them. The main part of it being converting the rear topmounts to adjustable pillowball mounts

After new years I plan to ship the Tein shocks to get revalved and sell the Ksports

I was waiting until I could get a laser-printer so I could make my own PCBs. I think it an etched copper PCB is the minimum quality for selling to other people, but then you may run into fewer problems with fewer and larger LEDs

Totally off topic, but when did you move to Haltom?? I've been living in Albuquerque for almost 5 years, but I'm originally from North Richland Hills.

That's good, always have to be careful when buying anything Tein online. I've seen counterfeits from U.S. sellers even... It's madness.

I grabbed this from the TEIN site because they explain it better than i do lol

Uses a stopper bracket to eliminate tangling of EDFC wiring on strut type front suspensions.
Tangling is caused by the strut suspension design which rotates when turning the wheels. Without the Strut kit the EDFC wires will become tangled and may break.

Ahh I see, though it might have something to do with EDFC, thinking of upgrading to EDFC active later on?

Ahh okay, thanks for that. Yeah my pretty basic Tanabe Coilovers were 31/32kg to ship from Japan.... ended up costing me $100 more than expected (which was like 30% more tongue.gif) since the basic postage limit is 30kg.

A sign of quality then? haha tongue.gif

Oh I'm definitely getting the EDFC Active pro controller. I confirmed that the motors that came with these Coilovers are the second generation which means they will work with the active pro.

Now I have to figure out if it is okay to switch to 65mm ID springs from the 70mm ID springs that are on the Coilovers. This will allow me to get Techno toy tunings caster/camber plates for the front and Ksports camber plates for the rears

1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situationエキサイティングカーレーシングチーム!march2010 COTM:6GCfeature2014:january2015-2016-2018 COTM
Spent some time taking apart the coil overs last week to get them ready to ship.

I didn't disassemble two of them as to take a few more measurements in comparison to the case boards that I planned on taking off today to clean up and get ready to sell

But the Ksports we're not taking off today...

Which leads me to the story of getting my emissions inspection done at a shop nearby. I was looking for a shop that would work with me to get the emissions done and tune the SAFC so that it would pass. Little did I know I got the one shop in the area that was extremely strict for small details of the car. I failed safety inspection because of spacers were over quarter inch, The fog lights didn't turn off with the headlights, The HIDs were too blue (they are 5k!!), and the worst of all the oil leak. I can't remove the spacers because I won't clear the brakes. I can't fix the oil leak because I don't have an engine. It was just a bunch of nitpicking that I paid $70 to get screwed over. And I filled the missions by five ppm on CO2 which could've been fixed by the SAFC.
I went to another place the day after and they suggested just to wait until I get the new motor and everything else they don't really care about and they will test it as an OBD2 vehicle which will make it a lot easier for me not having to use a dyno to test for missions

And now back to the Ksport's which I planned on taking off today...

Cannot take off the wheels because that shop torqued my wheels to God knows what when they should only be at 80ft/lbs or so.

1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situationエキサイティングカーレーシングチーム!march2010 COTM:6GCfeature2014:january2015-2016-2018 COTM
I was mainly expecting a put on hold kinda deal with getting the car reinspected but didn't think that the shop would torque your wheels so high to the point of you breaking lug sockets to get them off.... if you could get them off, must've just ran them down with an impact, no thought to us who care for our cars.

1997 ST:Limitedly GreenThis car is not about racing... This car is not about power or performance... It's purely about being cool.
There is some bad people in this world, and it sounds to me that you got nitpicked because somebody was jealous of your car. Proof is in the sockets.

1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold1994 Celica GT Liftback
I felt an odd vibe when I was there and I should have followed my instinct and left.
When the new keys come in this week and I get back to the car on the weekend, I may just borrow my friends 600ft/lb impact and take them off myself rather than taking it back to that shop.

Sent out the TEIN dampers to TEIN ($70 to ship them thumbsdown.gif )
Finalized my suspension setting as best as I could without having the car corner weighted, which I am still kicking myself for not doing, but was able to estimate a weight range it should be in with the BEAMS in

Now just waiting to hear from TEIN on their suggestions for dampening settings and if 65mm ID springs will be too small for the 58-/+ damper diameter

then the ordering begins!

1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situationエキサイティングカーレーシングチーム!march2010 COTM:6GCfeature2014:january2015-2016-2018 COTM
Man, that blows! I failed emissions last year by only a few ppm CO2 as well. Extremely annoying. I can't believe they were so nitpicky about the fog lights and color.

taking too long to mod since '09June '12 COTM'95 AT200
Meh, they're not professional nitpickers. I would've also pointed out how the headlights and taillights aren't DOT approved. tongue.gif Whichever shop screwed up your lug keys you should call them and give the manager an ear full. The same thing happened to my Mom at the local Hell-Mart, apparently most people that work as these places are retarded.

I dont think I have ever had a shop check my lights for DOT, but for their working operations and "regulation" colors
they didnt say anything about the headlights not being DOT approved haha.
I plan to finally get that issue resolved next weekend and the coilovers off finally

TEIN got my dampers and quoted me a handful for the overhaul in which they recommended replacing all 4 piston rods which they need to get from Japan. rolleyes.gif

Both the rear piston rods had pretty bad corrosion and pitting, the fronts I didnt see any issues with but I am going to see if they can explain why they need to replace them

I got these this weekend and fiddled around with the different degree adjustments I am able to set them at.
They so pretty, i dont want to put em on

Where did you get the front bar from, i have been looking everywhere for one so i can mount my race harness to it but dont know what it is called.

any help?
A member used to make those a long while back. Recently someone began to make these again but Im not sure if they went through with making them in bulk.

but if/when you get one of these and decide to mount your harness to it, follow this guideline!

would i be able to mount the harness to the rear strut brace?
you can mount it as long as they straps are long enough and you follow those safety guidelines on that link I provided. You dont want to skimp on safety!
