Wish I could come to this. MO is a bit far from OH. If you guys ever want to go to the World of Fun's sister park (and better park, cough cough) Cedar Point, lemme know.

Is it cool if I bring this instead of a Celica?
I'm cool with you bringing an MR2... After all, I might be rolling in a Camry
CastrolCelica, I might be down for a meet at Cedar Point sometime. It's not too close, so it probably won't be any time soon, but quite frankly, I can't live this close to Cedar Point and NOT go. I've never been.

yea that's completely fine man, ha its a public park and it's not like this is a prestigious meet where only celica owners can talk and hangout. Any car is honestly fine if you're willing to make the trip, But toyotas and especially celicas are kind of looked forward to since this is a meet for celicas

Honestly, I enjoy it on more than Disney. The roller coasters are the best, and I feel like I get my money's worth. When you get back from Disney, the thousands of dollars you spend never seem all that worth the fun you had during your stay.
I'd love to get a meet though in Ohio. Heck, I don't mind traveling out of state as I go to Dayton, Cinci and Cleveland all the time. If you ever want to do something at Cedar Point, let me know. There's a couple other guys in Ohio that I've seen around here, and others that are relatively close (northern Ketucky, ect).
Like I said, I'd love to go, but MO is like.. three states over I believe.

so where is this happening? sorry i haven't had time to read this thread (been moving).
Cedar Point would be awesome... I've been there several times since I only live about 4 hours away. It's my favorite amusement park by far. And I would be down for having a meet in OH sometime. It's reasonably close to me and I actually know my way around Columbus (sort of, lol).
I married my grease monkey ;)
I may be down to go, depending on the work situation.
If I do decide to head down, I'll be leaving from Chicago.
Fanboy and Shig, its been a few years since I've seen you guys.... Maybe we could caravan down together and meet up with that one girl and richee on the way?

I may not be able to go now, I'm enlisting in the airforce and don't know if I will be able to take time off now.

Dude, you started this! You have to come. It's mandatory. Bloodmoney, I'm good to meet up with you guys. Nothing wrong with making an entrance at the meet by rolling in in a caravan.

Anybody thought of anything else fun to contribute to this? We've got a frisbee coming so far, an epic midwest photoshoot, anything else?
I may be trying to get one of my 5th gen friends to come. His car is... uhm... It's a little ridiculous, but he's got good intentions.

He'll hopefully have it painted by the time this meet rolls around, but this is basically it. He picked out a good color. I'm just trying to convince him that a molded body kit on a daily driver is a bad idea, a body kit in general is a bad idea, and the wheels... Oh well. At least he intends to swap a 3S.

Edit: Kind of off topic, but does anyone else hate it when their post is the very first post on a new page? Everyone's staring at it and reading it and crap, and it's really kind of a useless post.

lol its w/e, and yea that car is kind of bleh, he needs better taste.

The body kit could actually be done well, if done with taste......then the wheels just show it's true intentions and the whole project goes out the window lol.
Hahaha yeah, he's a little 2 fast 2 furious guy.. But even he hates those wheels. That's how bad they are. I tell him ditch the wheels, he says he needs paint. He is, however, painting the car in a BMW white. That'll look pretty good, if he gets different rims.

Thank you, bloodmoney! Somebody's gotta steer this kid in the right direction. I'm doing my best here, but you guys can see that it's clearly not enough!

Funny note, I said on October 24th that my car has 165,000 miles on it. I didn't drive anywhere this weekend, but when I parked it Friday, November 20, it had 171,500. Just a little update on 6,500 miles in less than 2 months for you guys.
Anyway, somebody needs to bring a video camera to make a really sweet video of this meet. We can't let the SoCal guys show us up!
>Alright. I was going to check out his car last time I was in Alton, but I didn't have enough time.
Bit of bad news here... I may be able to pull it off, but more than likely my parents are going to make me drive our Camry. They don't like me driving that far in the Celica since it's got 165,000 miles and hasn't proved itself to be the best car in the world. I trust it to get me to St. Louis and back, but not to either of the coasts, for example. Any time I drive more than an hour away, I always have to take our Camry, just because it's brand new. I'm not complaining, because I love that car, but I want my Celica at a Celica meet. If this meet was happening tomorrow, I could bring my car for sure. But by next year, it will probably have over 200,000 on it. Yeah, I drive a lot. 4,000 miles a month this summer, with the worst being 7,000 miles in 30 days. And now that I'm going back to school, which is an hour away, I'm guessing the miles are going to be coming even faster. So I'll more than likely be driving our Camry, but I'll beg on my knees if I have to.

Hey guys, nice to see everyone on the Midwest thread again. schools been kicking my tail...
And I thought that I racked up the miles quick..... There's just no way that I can put up 6500 miles in 2 months...
If anything, that's proof right there that the car can handle the trip!
