I'm thinking it's gonna be cold up here for the meet...gonna throw in some beanies into the goodie bag too, hehe. For those who are attending, hopefully you'll get something good to remember the event by.
And I also think I'm going to donate my case of Eneos Oil as well (I have no use for 0-20W oil) as some sort of a prize...so yeah, show up and you can win a free oil change!

Hey guys (and/or) gals who are sitting on the fence on this meet, let me assure you that you will not want to miss this awesome meet

I know there wasn't too much work done to get this meet going (as far as actually sitting down and working out a planned event). But I hope that those who intend to attend will stay for more than an hour or so.

The original plan was to just show up at the designated location, meet people, lounge around for awhile, eat, and take off. That's fine and all, but I'd really like to start an annual meet that hopefully becomes tradition.

I'd like to ask that everyone show up promptly at 12:00PM. Come earlier if you'd like, but please don't straggle and lollygag for too long. I plan to be there an hour (or two) earlier, hopefully to mark off and reserve adjacent parking spots for all of us.

I know it's unexpected, but I'd like to try to get some sort of a momento made up for after the meet is over (possibly some sort of a mini magazine that details the attendees, cars, minutes of the meet, etc). So as everyone shows up, there will be a "registration" table and some forms to fill out...just some basic info that I'll include into the mini-mag. Then we'll have people park their cars in the designated/reserved spots (nicely!) so when we do take pictures, it'll look clean and organized (and damn worthy of posting up!).

If there's anyone who's willing to come earlier to help out with the setup, please let me know.

The days events are rougly as planned:

12:00PM Registration/sign up (very informal, no fees or anything!)
12 to 1:00 Meet/greet, pics (with model?<- I'm working hard on this one guys)
1:00 to 2:00PM BBQ lunch
~2:00 to 2:30PM Contest (participation is of course voluntary but prize(s) to be awarded only to winners and participants)
~2:30 to 3:30PM Cruise/drive
~4:00PM to ? Closing awards ceremony (y'all want to stick around for this)


So anyways, this is officially an entire CALIFORNIA event, hopefully some SoCal peeps will make the trip. I hope everyone walks/drives away with a great experience, something to remember the day's events by, and a continued desire to meet/support fellow 6GC'ers across the state (and US too). So tell your friends, I'm sure we won't turn them away, bring your GFs (if you can), or bum a ride from a buddy. However you make it, just get your lazy behinds there! I don't want to be going home with a box full of Celica t-shirts in L, XL, and XXL sizes that I don't need!

Do not worry! I will come early to help set up too!

faust,u can drive up to visalia,then caravan up with aj..u have to leave at like 8 am to get here by 12...then leave by 4..be home by 8...its about 500 miles round trip...500miles divided by lets say 29 highway mpg is about 18 gallons...18 gallons times say 3 bucks a gallon,about 50$ for gas...saying you jsut bought a mr2 turbo i think u can spend 50$ on gas to make it to a good sized celica meet see you there bud

Hey Tip, if you see this (since you don't have a phone and it's nearly impossible for me to reach you), do you think you could meet up early so that we are able to caravan to the meet? There are only a few of us who are from this area, and I will most likely be heading out with Nam. Actually I think it will just be Nam, you, and I and possibly John if he is able to show up. Me and John went to your house the other day to see if you wanted to hang out, but we couldn't find you because you have no phone. It reminded me of 1996 when not everybody had cell phones yet and people still used pay phones and answering machines. I'm not even sure if you still have internet, so maybe I'll mail you a letter and you can write back to me if I don't see you reply on here.
