game plan for the two days? its the middle of the week so i have to ask off

im mobile now but i was pretty sure those days are the weekend. and it'll only be one day....not sure which sat or sun

I'll definitely have to wait on a set day and ask off prior to it. I've been working ALOT lately so I hope I can manage to snag it off

THE BACK UP PLAN: So lets just say that somehow things get all jacked up, and for whatever reason there is low response to the meet, I'm pulling the deposit to the park and we can all meet at Bowman Springs, Chill and Cruise to somewhere to grab a bite...say Bone Daddys or Fuzzys Tacos? In the event that it happens, I'll notify everyone who is going to go via PM or Text (if I have your number)

So after a bit of tossing around dates and what not Ive decided to have it on a Saturday, a little later than what was planned at first. Mostly I was waiting till close to a month out to see what other meets are supposed to happen and try to schedule this one apart from those. Right now the only meet that comes close to the set date is HellaFlush5 and that is on Sunday.
There is a grill, plenty of parking, covered "patio" area and about 4 benches. So if you guys want to bring anything, please put it on the list (im taking care of the charcoal and the cooking utensils). Lets try to get maximum attendance. We had a good time at the last meet, and if you didn't make that one, you should try to make this one!

as of now i cant make this. i've planned to pull the v6 for a rebuild that weekend, but as it comes close weathter may have other plans, at that point ill come to this!

btw work sends me to Dallas for training (next to DFW airport)
ill let you guys know next time im up there and maybe we can chill one of the evenings!

So, been a week and Ive gotten a few replies from people. But not what I expected. Its pretty much a month out and I guess if they isnt much talk about it, we'll just drop onto the back-up plan.

Alright, so I pulled the deposit. No sense in spending any extra cash if I dont get the feeling we'll get any real turnout (save for the 3 I talked too already). So its on the the backup plan.
Meet up at Bowman Springs Park (plenty of parking) or meet up at a food place, and do what we did a long time ago. Meet, chill, eat, cruise then roll. I'll have more posted by Sunday.

come one people - lets show some interest. I know we all have busy schedules, but gotta find time to show love for the celica right?

i should be going, yeah it depends gonna try out for american idol sad i know but hey it doesnt hurt to try ya know

I really don't know where to start seeing as I haven't really contributed lately due to various reasons but I'm going to have to agree 110% here with Spider. I really don't understand some of the BS reasoning and or excuses people will lay down just to not show up for not only a social gathering, but an opportunity to meet new people and share the same interest aka Celica's (if that wasn't obvious enough).

I think on that note, I think its safe to say that its pretty much done with.

Spider, i feel your pain - that kind of crap is exactly what broke my back on trying to organize meets as well.
i don't understand what it is with most of the people here in DFW but with the exception of the few people you mentioned & a few others that i know personally they just leech & flake out.

Sideswipped, AGAIN... Insurance totaled it. $650 and its back to normal (they claimed it had 2700 in dmgs, i win) , hopefully out of the shop soon. GT4 hood on the way from japan, thanks to my insurance check!

I would rather sell this stuff to you guys cheaply and meet up than deal with shipping it. so make me an offer and you'll prob get it. i know the pics aren't the greatest but it's all quality. even vincents engine bay cooling plate i never painted.

The prices in the thread have shipping on them so they may seem higher. like i said, make me an offer.

The other offer, if anyone wants to buy all of it to try and make a chunk of change off of, I'll cut you a really nice deal. REALLY NICE. So don't be afraid to pm me. Don't want to have to throw this stuff away, and yours is bound to break sometime.

Heya...alright, Im back from vacation. And I feel bad that things didnt go the way they should have. Between what I had going on......and other "things" that blew it for me, I just didnt have the time or the well, lets leave it at that. For those of us who really want to have a meet, PM me, and we will do things that way. I have had genuine interest from some people and the flaker attitude from others. So if you really want to meet up every now and then (and chances are that for now it'll be based out of Arlington) hit me up and if there is enough response I'll let you guys know. But being that this is my last post on this thread....If you have no intention on showing then dont waste my or anyone elses time. Or if someone else wants to set up meets, I'm down.
