those wheels and coils look sickk, cars going to look sharp sitting on them

Just a heads up. My old shocks/springs are KYB-GR2's and Tein S-Tech springs. These will be up for grabs once I get my D2's (next week some time).
do you have boost spikes with that grimmspeed boost control??
I havent noticed any boost spikes.
I know it's not really Celica related, but it's freaking cool. My dad was so inspired by the 3" exhaust on my car that we made one for his 1990 Mazda B2600i, and man does it sound awesome.

Went with all stainless-catback exhaust with vibrant ultraquiet resonator, and magnaflow muffler, using our custom made flanges.

Lol...it sure is 3". We left the necessary restrictions to ensure that it would have adequate back pressure.

Hmm, i compared your 14 sec time slip to some of mine, my average ones and my messed up launches.. interestingly one run i messed up and got 14.2, I had +0.2s on all your times 60ft,330,1/8&1/4

but on my average runs hitting 13.2, 13.3 i started out with 2.0-2.1 second 60fts (-0.3s) and by 1/8th i was -0.6s and by 1/4 i was -0.7s finishing around 106 MPH
(keep in mind AWD should hit a 1.6s 60ft, but ive only dragged in the wet)

I was also running approximately the same power as you (10psi on my setup), Car+Driver+Fuel was 3090lbs on the day with 225/40ZR18 Kumho Ecsta

I see a few improvements in your set up. Lower psi was a big advantage, but having awd negates wheel spin. On my drive home i was perplexed with why i didnt try turning my boost down, or think of it at the time. I burned through first and second. And gained quickly afterwards. My launches sucked too. Im also running skinnier tires, and no limited slip.

Hmmmm.... i would imagine your top end is limited by the e154 where my s54 shines through. The one bit of data we dont have is where our gear ratios per foot per second per second differed.
You have the power covered. We know that. Longer gears would help. Tires will be essential. Lower psi you could get n boost sooner. Should have let me run it, just saying smile.gif
This is just a heads up to anyone who is considering purchasing these coilovers (NOT TO BAD MOUTH THE COMPANY). I just wanted to let everyone know that has recently ordered or is planning to order these coilovers that there was a small issue at the factory where they are produced, and boxed where they have mixed up 90-99 pillowball mounts for the 94-99 celica. This is just a small mistake, but may add a slight delay to the time window that you are considering. I do however strongly recommend purchasing this products from www.urbanimport.com. These guys are local to me, and went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied. The service was excellent, and the speed of their replies was impecable. I will certainly be taking my business to them again in the future.

Coilovers, nice...that is still one modification I'd love to do, it's odd but I'd simply like more low. Please post pictures of the difference! biggrin.gif

LOL...I can't do them yet. I'm waiting on the proper pillow ball mounts to be shipped to me from D2. I will take before an after pictures of the set up, but contrary to the norm I will be raising the car instead of lowering it. It is already dropped on Tein S-Tech springs with KYB GR-2 struts, and it's low enough now that my suspension geometry is messed up. I plan on tracking this car, so I'm going to be making street friendly, yet weekend track ready adjustments to the car. I will list my measurements etc...when I'm done with the set up. New wheels and tires on the way too.
That's an expensive investment for no lowering gain. They're great for track, obviously, but just seems like a stiffer spring would have served you almost as well.

Over lowering the car can be really detrimental to handling characteristics. Based on the geometry of a 2.5 inch drop, which I have now, I've already experienced rough handling and poor wear on all of the steering components. I've already replaced several ball joints and two wheel bearings. Not to mention 1 axle.
Ya. Try 3-4 inchs... tie rods look like there stuck doing jumping jacks. Havent busted anything but driver axles though. When those d2s gunna be ready to handle the green machine?
If you're serious about tracking the car instead of using the brake combo you plan on running you can go bigger rotors by switching to a 5x114 lug pattern. The Lexus is350 I believe have 332mm front rotors. Or even use the supra tt front rotor 325mm. The rav4 shares the same wheel bearing as our fronts all you need to do is buy the rav4 5x114 hub and press that bad boy in.

But then again you'll run into the gt-four caliper not spaced out far enough for the larger rotors. kindasad.gif that's why I still intend on using my ls430 calipers I have laying around after all the years for a custom setup on the car.

Just a couple small updates. Still waiting on the replacement pillow ball mounts for the D2's I ordered, and my freaking wheels are still on backorder....but
despite all the BS here are some positives.

Pretty happy with these small changes, and I love how they both look. Hopefully a big update on Sunday if I'm able to get the D2's going.
