Yea I say we take it easy on the cruise this meet. I don't want to risk an accident like that again. . .But if you guys still want to push your cars then be aware that your tires may not make any noise when they're at the limit. I don't know if it was the tar on the road or the fact that my tires were new, but I didn't hear a single peep before the rear let go.

anyway, what else do we need food wise? I cant think of anything to bring O.o

you should be able to feel when the car is going to let go (at least i can), you just have to take her to a parking lot and test it out. ah how i miss my younger days. (ok, so like ~2-3 years ago)
but that would have sucked if you were in another accident. im sure you would never come to a meet again since it would have been twice in a row your car got hurt from it.

Mine squealed like a pig being raped by a farmer AS they let go in the front, then the back end snapped and I had to counter steer very fast against it. Back tires were silent, but snap oversteer rarely makes a sound, its the silent killer. Its the road, I can feel as they're approaching their limit and laterally speaking I was not at the tires limit, but I was passed the limit of the road. I think I may have given a family in a van a group heart attack, I know I was a shade pale and felt rather cold.

Thanks! I edited my post to remove my moment of ignorance.

SoDo, do you know where the meeting point is? Last time I went to a meet, Tom and I went to Starved Rock State Park. Turns out we just call this place Starved Rock because it's near Starved Rock, but not actually at Starved Rock.

So, I received word yesterday that we're now working 7 days a week. Then I found out that I'm in a strange position at work where I'm able to come in if I want to, but I don't really have to. So I'll be there for sure, and thanks to overtime each weekend, I'll even have a Celica in time for a summer meet.

weather calls for rain on the 2 days preceding the meet, should make the water falls area muddy and exciting (lots of water). Though its just as awesome when the water is low and you can check out the little caves and the giant stone head.

Jackie and I just walked the paths on Thursday that had waterfalls. and we managed to avoid walking in the water/mud the whole time. (crossing the water on logs/rocks/jumping) we wont be able to avoid it this time huh...?

Who knows. I don't know how much its going to rain there. When I was there before the water was soo low you could walk to the base of the big water fall at the lake and walk to the base of the next 'step' down under the bridge.
