Give ben a call. Ztreet wars is this sunday and id like to run my 7afze. Maybe all of us should take the trip instead of this 3sgte nonsense?
haha
That be fun..or we can put together my 3sgte haha...either way I have to take off work if were doing anything..
Well i say we spend a day at the strip. Starts at 1030. There will be fun runs, quick 8s, drifting, show, glow, and apparently a concert. Think we should rep Toyota sense last time i had the only toyo in the whole place.
What is Zstreet wars?
Pretty much turbo anything. Always see some off the wall stuff. Drag racing, car show, drifting. Should be fun
wheres it at, this zstreet wars

Im taking the smart way and letting alex and ben lead the way with this build and they've been pretty busy lately so i've been takin the down time to paint and clean the little things. Also made the decision to paint the front end pieces myself instead of having maaco do it. Other than that just day dreaming of the day this thing starts up. Still have to get guages, downpipe, axles and 3'' exhaust. Question: can i use a 3'' exhaust but keep my 2.5'' magna flow muffler?

Ya bobby sorry about stealing ben. Proud of you! Keep it up. Well get you going soon
I feel an epic paint job coming! Can't wait! Keep the photos coming! Can't stifle my enthusiasm!
no problem alex! im not the only one with a project and im gonna take your word for it! thanks edser Im gonna take my time with it and get it done right. This will be my first time doing some major painting but i think i can do it.
bought a few things to make sure the paint comes a long nicely
got this little puppy for a steal at home depot. Pretty sure they priced it wrong. This will definitely help with the painting and power tools.

almost finished with the paint booth

Thanks to Ben mentioning respiratory illnesses i had to do it:

Also purchased a water/contaminant filter for the air hose just to make sure.

And on the more serious side: MOOAAAR PICSSSSZZZZ
Gave it a serious cleaning and blueprinted the rings. The machine shop had decided to be nice and install the rods.....but sadly they installed them backwards, so we had
to take them back apart and re-assemble them correctly.

Can we use soup cans when we put mine together?
thankfully ben caught the machine shops mistake or we'd been in trouble. crank turns smooth as a baby's bottom. Waitin on the dowel pins and we'll be back at it again. God i love sundays.
Love the vid. Made me laugh out loud!
Also make sure ben brings his bearing and race installer. Need that aswell. Other then that, next time we should have the front and rear mains in, along with the oil pump, upper and lower pans with oil pump pickup, head, and may even get around to getting the timing belt on. Hope you bought a new idler pulley and not just the tentioner.
Waitin on ben to send me the link for the idler pulley and it'll be ordered! but that sounds like a good goal i like the way you think!
Still need the part numbers.
