racing with no spare and around 1/4 tank and fairly hard compound tires makes for a back end that will break loose pretty easy haha

Yes sir, and after seeing your awesome PC calipers it prompted me to make a spontaneous purchase of my own as well, lol. Thanks for the motivation bro

IT RUNS IT RUNS!!!

but it still leaks coolant out of the tensioner pulley despite my efforts to seal it.

And, I am going to re-assemble a couple things I had started to take off so I can put it on the ground and see if it drives!!

Is that on the head or the block? I can't seem to remember
its on the block.

got to drive it yesterday and it is L. O. U. D.

I wanted to take it over 4k rpm but I had the feeling someone was bound to complain
The full stainless exhaust has a much tinnier (as expected) sound to it.
I dont love it

here is a idle video. nothing entertaining, more just to document that the car runs at this date

Cams too, right? I'm imagining that gravitates toward V-tak level of noise. Must be fun to drive though.

How's it driving?

Well, if you want a block, I have one with 127k on it. I have the internals, just have to find where I put them all lol
You can have it for cheap too, it's taking up space on the stand which is going to be used for the 1mz I acquired
nah thats alright, but thanks for the offer!
Its not a terrible leak. the power steering leak is something I am going to address.
And maybe I will try to take another shot at the coolant leak later on, but the car runs right now and it perfectly timed. I dont want to touch it for a little while haha

Getting the last remaining parts needed this week to start the brake swap finally

1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situationエキサイティングカーレーシングチーム!march2010 COTM:6GCfeature2014:january2015-2016-2018 COTM
Well if you want it, its only $100 obo lol
(That's also open to everyone).

But I can't wait to see the brakes on this baby!

Im trying to do everything I can to salvage this block. it is still under 70k too!

Anyways finally got in most of what I need to finally knock out the brake job! Just need to grab some replacement e-brake pads from toyota and brake fluid thats in the mail still.

here are the EBC rotors I had to order from EBC UK along with Goodridge brake lines

and soon enough these will be on!!!

Another big thing I finally got handled was an issue I was having with finding out wether or not I would be able to register the car in PA so i could get the SCCA specialty plate, but insure it in MD, where I live. And after 3 disgruntled Department of Motor Vehicle employee's I called, I finally got one who said it was possible as long as the insurance agency was okay with it, which they are.

So no front license plate! Whew.

If you have coolant around the tensioner area then its most likely coming from the water pump thats right next to it.

how will u be doing ur gt4 brake swap, are u cutting the disc to 298, or using a full disc. Spacers? just curious, cuz im in the same boat!

for the fronts or rears?
My fronts are bolt on ready. As are the rears. All i need is hub centric ring spacer

how re the fronts bolt on, are you swapping to gt4 suspension?

Nope they'll just bolt right up for me. The front has already been adapted to fit my car, I have hubs that are tapped to fit the calipers.

So those are na MK4 Supra front rotors? Do you need any spacers behind them?

Also, those brake lines. Did you get the ST205 specific Goodridge ones or another set that had similar lengths?

Sorry for the questions haha I don't want to do drilled catera rotors with spacers..

SPYRO|DARKSPYRO|CYRIL
yup they are. No they dont need spacers, behind them.
The brake lines I got are for a TT Supra. With Goodridge, the lines dont have the little pin that keeps the line in place on the caliper. Ive read that this is a common thing with their lines, but that people have had no problem with them

No problem! I think I have filled the last few pages with some of the details of the swap, and Culpable has a thread with a bunch of info as well

So let me see if im understanding this correctly. I can go to my local autozone pick up a set of 97 n/a supra rotors and they'll slide right on to my hubs like my celica rotors? If not, how will an st185 rotor hold up? Im asking cuz Im having issues tracking rotos for my 205 calipers and I dont wanna have to drill 5x100 spaced holes just to make them fit. Just want to buy set slide them on with ease and be done with it.

nope. you have to redrill those rotors.
Im not sure what stock rotors will fit, I was talking with Fate and he had a few options that he was going to try ( i forget what they were)
but you could also call up brembo and possibly give them the specs (300mm dia/ width ?? i need to remeasure i forgot!!/ hat size and hub bore) for the rotors and see if they have something that can fit or if they can make one.

itll probably be cheaper to just re-drill supra rotors haha.
And the ST205 rotors will bolt right up to the rears, hubs are the same size too!
