Adhesive peels right off when they are really hot. So blow dryer or just leave it out in the hot hot sun....
claybar would remove most/all the stains but the fading and oxidation is a diff story....

225 should be good for clearance, but if you don't want to get something so close as to what you have now then go with 235, but I'm not sure about 245...
